playing US account on EU

Well at the moment i play the Europe version of DAoC. However my friend in America has givin me one of his CD keys and said that i can use that to play with him on, although we aren't sure wether i will be able to play on the US servers unless i install off the US disk. Does anybody here know of any other way of doing it so that i can connect to US servers on the EU version?

Tell him to send you his update.bin then restart the game and download the us patch. If im not remembering wrong that should do it.

the Update.bin trick described above should work.
I would recommend installing TOA again (or copy the existing version into another folder) because once you patch to the US version and you want to play the Euro version again you have to change back the Update.bin file and it will repatch to the euro version (lower build, for Europe). This might give you a few problems so it is best if you make 2 separate DAOC folders, one for Euro and one for US, to avoid repatching every time you switch ..
