Playing DAoC while waiting for CU?

Sometimes the action is really good, others it's full of zerging idiots who just run 5fg+ and roll over everything.

Quite good action CV most of the time, Small mans, fg action in there. And quite possible to solo in there even as a noone stealther.
And the best thing is not getting rolled by 345 people as soon as you poke your nose out of the keep gate.

can be hard to avoid the zerg but there is generally some good fun to be had in the labyrinth

Come and play uthgard, way better than live. EA dosen't deserve any money for making DAoC totally bullshit. On uthgard you get the good old DAoC feeling, and there is amazing 8vs8 action

I am still playing on the US servers, but totally avoid NF. I spent 70% of my time in the battlegrounds(Molvik and Cathal Valley), 5% crafting and 25% putting together templates, farming and leveling characters

• Will I be willing to play without a buffbot?
• Can I cope with no NS cure?
• If I decide to play support, can I live with being out of power every fight?

Well we're running a full caster group in BTL and purge helps you alittle but seems like we have a qq problem

Seems like you hate that part a lot but tbh i didn't like it in the start aswell but find it fine now, its a part of the gameplay etc But i would rather play any other game than DAoC live, ask EA what you want and you'll get it EA did a great job in killing DAoC. Went there 2 month ago and i would never go back to live again.

Pot juggling on Uthgard is no fun, as well as the even slowing leveling now that a blue takes eons to kill.

If you've got a month to get to 50 then go for it.

It ruins the game, you're kiting for 1.5mins if you don't have purge, or trying to push on a mid rr11 tank group, which to me just seems sad.

I'm not saying live is better by any means, but a few tweaks (such as NS cure) and it'd be pretty good really.

my accounts are active but the action is terrible these days, times I play the german bg's are out and its more or less no fun to play at all solo constant boat rides, getting ran over by 80+ zergs = zzzzz

I've played some Uthgard and from my view: yes, the levelling is dread slow, but it's very easy to find groups and I find people more friendly and laid back than in other mmorpgs (a friend of mine just started playing there was shocked over how relaxed people were after moving from the likes of WoW, Rift etc). Population seems decent enough, this weekend there was over 1000 online, and since buffbots are banned that is a sound number.

DAoC on live can be fun also, but I found the action to be pretty awful. RvR split up in way to many battlegrounds and frontiers and population (already dwindled) spread thin.

Im in thid on my druid. But i can help you with some gear on alb and just started to lvl on mid with some friends We're around 13-15 on mid atm.

I know alb and hib best, but could get by on mid.
Is my best bet going to be to go with what I know best (ie probably reaver or cabby on alb, or bard on hib) or should I do something different?
How likely am I to get groups/rvr groups as a random, or do I need to find a guild first really?
