In my ongoing supposed quest to become nothing more than a grauniad reposter:

Tragic, I've done my best to remove as much plastic from my diet as possible. We may well get one of these, eventually:

I know not "plastics" exactly - however PFAS are found in lots of plastics, so...

This:

An innocent-looking strawberry could have PFAS exposure, I learned, because the chemicals can be added to pesticides "to help them stick better to the fruit, so when it rains it doesn't wash off

What is government actually doing?

This is what government is for. Protecting our health. The health of our children. Making sure we're not so fucking stupid that we totally fuck the environment. And none of our governments are doing any of it. They're tinkering and doing absolutely irrelevant stuff (ID cards ffs!) when they should be sorting out how we can produce food safely, how we can wear clothes safely. How we can trust anything we buy.

At this rate when you buy ready meals you may as well just eat the plastic tray as well. At high temperature it will melt and add flavour/texture to the meal. Guess it will save on recycling though it might introduce lots more fat people as we won't be able to shit the plastic out.
