The fact is, to gain access to another persons account, you need their logon name and password.
If you allow a person to gain access to this information, it is not GOA's responsibility to put things right when they go wrong.

This is where you are wrong. They can very well trace them. But what then? Do they have to somehow work out if the person the items were given to is innocent, or involved? And then? Take the items away from them?

No. It gets far too messy. Items given away are treated as if the person who owned the account did so. Loch was lucky that the person that did it to her, didn't give all her stuff away first, because then? Then it would all be gone, and she'd get back a character with 0 items. That's how it works, and to think, and demand that they "give back" items given away shows a lack of knowledge of basic business practices.
