cleared keys will reset to their defaults if they're cleared...

you can set them to DO NOT SET ANYTHIGN TO THIS KEY or something along those lines in the main keyboard page on the options (from the char select screen).

e.g. if you try to unbind f1 it will rebind itself to help unless you set it to the special value of "don't bind this you gimp" or whatever it is (I can't remember the exact name )

can't remember if this is in 1.73 already or if it comes in in 1.74/1.75.

I really think that must be something coming in 1.75.

And imo. it is a bugfix since I really dont see the point of having the option
to change keyboard configuration ingame and then having the game
wiping that information when you log out.

i am not sure that when you log ou, your character gets saved, like it happens often during game... might be there ?
