The tech-savvy among you have probably already picked up on this yesterday, but Apple have released Bootcamp, a handy tool that forgoes the hacking and lets you re-partition your mac's HD, and then install XP on a dual boot basis.

This sounds seriously handy to me, and I (and no doubt a lot of others who look at macs from afar, too scared to commit) would seriously consider one as a next machine.

Yep, it is apparently super-mega-awesome, although it is in beta and they've not quite finished driver support yet (if you get a MacBook there's no driver for the twofinger-click combination for right click, so you need an external mouse, but iMacs come with multi button capable mice now so they're fine).

It's going to be a shipping feature with the next release of OSX (10.5 Leopard).

Damn I want a new MacBook but can't really justify replacing the iBook just yet. Ah well.
