Opera cancelled in anticipation of islam reactions

The "Deutsche Oper" in Berlin has cancelled the representation of Mozarts opera "Idomeneo". According to the theatre manager, there were clear indices, that playing this opera (in the planned staging) would have caused a serious risk of terrorist attacks. The staging of the opera shows the decapucated heads of Poseidon, Jesus, Buddha and Mohammed.

It´s a play by Mozart, staging made by some guy who thought that this is a good interpretation. The important part is: it´s a fooking OPERA, played in a goddamn theatre under the audience of a bunch of hedonist classical musc freaks. They (i.e. fundamental islamists) may not like it, but for fooks sake, this is OUR country and it´s OUR job to decide what we´re gonna show and what not. It´s simply none of their business. What´s next? Are we supposed to send our TV program to Islamabad to get it approved before we can send it?

I don´t see your point here.
I didn´t post this to diss islam. If it would have been any other group or religion, I would have posted the same. (In fact, if you browse through my posts in FH, you´ll find me defending islam and "the other side" more often than not...)

I`m just pissed off that a group of people is claiming the right to enforce what other people are allowed to see in a theater. I don´t care what they´re showing in their cinemas, I don´t mind their mullahs preaching war and hate and destruction in their mosques, I don´t mind christians going to church and listening to the priest or spending their Sundays watching Jesus-TV. Everybody has the freedom to do what he wants. If you don´t like Robbie Williams, don´t listen to it. If you´re offended by pr0n, don´t watch it and if your religion demands you to not eat pork... well... don´t eat it.

But MY tolerance ends exactly at the point where OTHER people are trying to cut down MY way of life. And I don´t think that that´s something I need to apologize for?!
