Grapple can be a groups achilles heel as targets can be switched and a second melee character can kill a different caster oor of bodyguard even if you swap as you are self stunned.
Grapple in the right circumstances is effective at killing tanks forced into pb. Note Dreami using IP.
Overuse of grapple kills your group at times.
Underuse can also kill.

So grapple spamming is not something you just do, bodyguard swapping is better. However casters still tend to move, so you may have to choose to grapple when you don't want to. It might save their live. Also a warden has no none RA cc , so chasing a meleer after your druid and grappling so he can move off and spam some heals works. Previous role of warden was different.

Also because the way bodyguards operate ie with their target a good enemy dder can make the grapple in PB ineffective.

As for rest

Quinlan is a great warden, enemies that count know that. His role has changed he's now almost playing pre toa hero with less hps but a better defence than guard and no offence. I personally prefer playing warden in the pre toa role but with the power leaks and sapping strikes as an added bonus. Bg and grapple monkey isn't fun.

Nice video anyway, fights are always good with PE, win or lose. FL too. Both play fair.

That reuse timer allows for it to be spammed non-stop, it is not point blank, it is 150 (which is nearly pb i guess but in 2 seconds i wont be able to sprint off from a grapple spammer on stick)
It does drop the chants, but that doesnt stop the last pulse of bt covering the warden, disallowing me to at least slam.
Now while i understand it is a valid tactic since its in the game, it also causes alot of frustration to melee types who suffer from it. Notoriously Albion is good at grappling Casters

Very nicely played! This, in my opinion, is how a mercenary should be played: on the front lines, doing his offensive duty and wreaking havoc among casters and support. Not at all like the BG-bots most BMs on Excalibur had degraded to when I was active, babysitting casters and throwing the occasional weapon.

Less than a daoc players bodylength in reality. Can be quite frustrating trying to grapple and get lag players out of range etc.

Clever wardens will have given their group a group bladeturn so that is what you will hit, not a pbt pulse. PBT will drop under the graple stun, self bt will be up.

Slam can be purged if its an issue. If playing grapple monkey usually only use purge for shield slams. If playing interupter, use purge on qc root. Against mids its more difficult, but they generally play without shieldo in group.

Grapple is okay, gives an often bypassed class something that can turn a fight. Cant say I love it, but find it ok to use on ma train to pull bger from his caster so other guy can melee him. I know all about grapple from the other end.

Fair play to Albs they dont bug abuse and really grapple is something that imo PE cope with well. Sure they adapted, Alb melee groups vs Hibs with 2 or less casters will struggle, hence the plethora of alb casters around.
