Have to agree with the general concensus here. Wheel of time started off so promisiingly, but I stopped buying them after book 4 when I realised I was reading book 3 again with a different cover/name.

Since then every single book seems to be a rehash of the first 3 and isn't going anywhere.

For a good read that's slightly off the norm, try Robin Hobb, either The Assassin Triology, the Liveship Triology or the new Fools stuff.
