If we're going to go all technical, SoTL were the 10th created on Prydwen, and Phoenix Legion were 21st, if we decide GReaper's alts and buffbots aren't an active guild that makes PL the oldest active guild on Alb//Prydwen I think

To be fair, The Black Circle was created early on and although theres only a few players left, they techinically are an old guild.

I was one of the original 8 who made it, certainly in the first week of Daoc going live

One of the oldest 'Myrddin's Talon' merged with The Dragon Senate and so they aren't listed, I am certain they were one of very first few guilds though. I remember being in the room organising my people at the same time Pheonix Legion were creating thier guild. I am sure a few of the other older guilds formed on day #1 have also merged into other guilds but as for who was first I am not sure.

Not quite. Guild IDs 1 to 9 are reserved for Mythic/GOA use. SotL was the first created (by Gideon), PL was 12th.

Uranicus Phalanx was created 10:30 pm on April 14th in the year of the great Cookie 2002

Only 1 of the founders is still in the Guild the Great Thwaker Snortpig (Lovingly called Porky ) I started playing 18th april 2002 was made GuildMaster about 1½ Months after Sooo that would make me the longest serving (on Prydwyn ALbion Or maybe even the server) Guildmaster without Breaks ?. Gawd Im depressed now, Thadius I soo Blame you!! =D

Shadowblood dynasty was old (pre COP as i moved from SD to Circle of power when SD merged with TDS. COP then merged with Gaurdians of Albion to become GOP), and Shadowblood played for a while in ToA as he was in Foadons video...getting pawned the poor bastid. There were lots of guilds created really early on that are dead now tbh; Zoo, Dark wombles, Utopia to name a few that i can remember. I was always under the impression that SOTL were before PL, but i may be wrong. I cant remember if this was in Beta or on release, but the first guild i was in was called Relic raiders ;o. As someone said before the first one was probably a random one that no one can remember, but the longest standing imo is SOTL. SOTL is a not even a shadow of its former self though, so its subjective if it still counts

If we are talking official release (not beta) then it was PL who beat SotL by 20-30 minutes to getting the emblem first, i know i was there oh god, im old !!
And if i remember correctly, SotL where created sometime during the afternoon and PL early evening.

Can't remember who it was in beta though, didnt start until the 2nd week in closed beta.

Then CoP merged with Gaurdians of Albion (not sure may have been Gods of Albion, but then i dont know where name came from), along with a lot of other guilds to become Guardians of Power and he became co-GM. Very confusing and it happened a long time ago
On a side note anyone know if people like Meepthor/Lanceloc from CoP still play?
