Need walls put through, roof lifting off, cladding etc - if I do all the insulation work then I'll have to re-do it when the roof comes off, the walls come down etc. etc.

I can't do the central heating bit because I've no energy source - no gas or oil. I need planning to put gas or oil in. I want to do solar, so A) I'm not reliant on gas or oil and B) running an electric central heating system via the grid would mean I need a whole other job just to keep up with payments. But I need planning to do solar - and the national park really don't want to let me.

So yeah. There's fuck all I can do without starting building works unfortunately.
