So,

Seems I've been called a pompous Feinschmecker.

so lets have it,

once in a while, enjoying the finer things in life "not nessersarily expensive things in life"

is
pompous, vulgarity, unessersary, waste of time and often money

or

is
Broading your horision, aiming for perfection "not nessersarily achiving it"
a hobby just like any other, "wich are all often time consuming and expensive too"

note we'r talking food, drinks and such here..

so......

spending money on anything that isnt essential to keep you alive could be considered a waste of money etc.

i dont care how childish it is, but i fucking love fireworks and happy to spend 30-40 quid for 10 minutes entertainment. one of my collleagues today said its like burning money. but so is having an expensive car, drinking wine and watching tv.

pay for what you like to enjoy FFS.

Voted the second option, but i know what this is about and you were basically looking down your nose at people who drink mainstream lagers so this isnt really relevent

oi! that wasnt me
that was tris
I just relized his suggestion, wich btw was more in jest aka ironic aka funny,
you just failed to realize it, thus i mades more fun on thee

if you read the threads, and my comments in general on these matters,
you'll realize I love nothing more than a cold Carlsberg on a warm day.
"all has it's time and place" with few exeptions ofc. I'd also never refuse a lager if offered
one when out.

I do however like to match my meals with specific drinks,
some times it's fine wine, some times it's beer, meed, cola...you name it
Imagine a bottle of pitch dark porter with fish and chips...no right ?
lager then ? ah yes..better! see the point ?

yay because it tastes good and I see the geese as a product. Just as I see chicken, pigs and cows as products aswell, while I see gunniepigs, dogs and cats as pets

And yes I know this will cause a massive shitstorm against me, but you might not think of it as such, but basically all meat you eat is a product and has not been treated like a living creature throughout itself short life span

If you think all the hamburgers and steaks you stuff down your throat has been treated nicely you are, most likely, oh so very wrong

It's basically a goose liver pate and it's amazing! Only thing is that the geese are force fed to stuff them up fast and to make sure the liver will be of the right quality etc.

try harder,
and i wont.

I'm dead tired of seeing weak,
sad flames/baits, that dont even stick
to the issue being discussed.
worse is posts that belong in another thread all together.

lol yeah ofc, if you say so :D

Because pigs won't eat eachother's tails if they are free range and chickens won't have their tail feathers cut off as they won't fly off if as long as they can be outside

As good "old" Billy Connolly said it;

Life is a waste of time and time is a waste of life, get wasted all the time and you'll have the time of your life.

Your life, your money, your body, your your your.

As long as your lemongrassfilé with whisky au latte ain't harming others, go for it.

Still might call you something, but it ain't wrong :p

Being that i grew up on a farm and have been involved in the whole life of beasts birth to the slaughter house i can tell you thats rubbish. Its the usual minority ruin it for the majority. There are alot of animal welfare inspections on farms etc in this country and is very difficult to get away with the old methods of battery farming.

chickens won't have their tail feathers cut off as they won't fly off if as long as they can be outside

Not sure if i missed a funny here but you do know chickens dont need feather clipped as they devolved and cant fly?

its difficult to get away with mistreatment to farm animals.

defra probably do inspections a few times a year. some trading standards also persue criminal investigations if someone reports mistreatment. someone in my team has been dealing with a dead cow and malnourished cows on a farm.
