It seems there is a problem synchronizing account status between the billing database and the database used by the game itself.
It's a technical problem, I'm sure GOA will extend your subscription period to compensate.

Actually they recently gave a friend of mine 3 free days because there was supposedly a problem with their mailserver causing him to possibly not receive his account details. He never asked for it, and the original e-mail arrived fine, so he had 3 extra free days 8)

A judge would look at this and see that they have failed to deliver goods - their small print will not cover them

I know Thor.. sometimes they'r angels.. but I've never gotten benifit from that side of things.. right now I'm dealing with a credit card charge for "somone" elses account to my closed credit card.. and if I could play atm I wonder if I'd get credit for a certain Artifact kill that I've attempted 3 times now without getting credit.. and I did report it.. and basicly all goa said to that little problem was "oh tell us if it happens again".. bleh.. I'm maybe a little too pissed atm.. but can you really blame me?

a reasonable view? their news page still says the sub system should be working fine for the majority of users. that for one, is misleading their customers.

i work in IT, i know shit can happen, i also know the only way to keep a customer satisfied is to keep him in the know.

I am not saying that GOA dont give a shit.....no doubt someone got an arse kicking or something for this *glitch* (or at least they should have)
But for my part this has been going on for 4 days now...soon to be 5 days and the wife has noticed that i am <unoccupied> and has had a bath and got her *lucky* jim jams on........GET THE BLOODY GAME UP

second that entirely. i also know that in IT you ALWAYS need a backup plan, sometimes a third plan in reserve when working with this kinda stuff. if you are changing something that has a huge impact on users the basics are 1)make sure its as guarenteed to work as possible, dont do it unless 99% confident 2) have a plan incase it doesnt work, one that it is quick to go to as a temporary measure to minimize impact on users 3) let them know what the hell you are doing, down times, whats gone wrong when you breach those time, what the fix is, and how long it will take (some of which goa has done to a very low standard). it seems to me they were too confident it would work, and had no idea what to do when it didnt, thus wasting a saturday (or so we are led to believe) attempting to fix it when most of the staff involved is not there (another assumption) and so making little progress at all. that reminds me (and cant be arsed to retype) i forgot the real No. 1) do it at the start of the week to give maximum working time should it go wrong and so all parties involved are around to help. bah, rant over, givf toa activation please

Im always amazed at the people who make remarks like this. At least have the decency to type your English correct if you are going to make remarks about America in English lol.

Back to the subject, It looks like this problem wont be resolved until sun or mon. And that's only if you have some faith. I do however hope that they do give us some sort of answer before they call it a night.

my mate stopped playing a while ago, his subs ran out for like a week then he got a bill for £22.00. aparently auto renew was set on his account (he always renewed his accounts manually) - but funny how this only happened after the account had been dead for a week (give or take a day or 2). he got some crap like that from rightnever
