Why should that be necessary? There has been some degree of fun off-topic posting in this thread, and after my previous warning most people appeared to be understanding that farming for rep was a no-no. Sammy just made a tit out of himself by posting a stupid poll thread a few days after getting my attention with his rep-whoring... what did he think I would do? Pat him on the back and say 'there there, I forgot all about your previous misdemeanours, have a little PM warning and go about your spamming' ?

I'm not prepared to put up with a ridiculous level of spam for people trying to whore for rep points... we have to have post counts disabled across FH because of DAOC spammers already and to lose another feature of the boards would be a shame if it was simply down to the irresponsible few abusing it.

Now grow up a bit.

Why reset Rhori's rep level? Did you notice the name of this thread, hes been semi spamming in an off topic location, the only thing hes been doing different than everyone else posting in this thread is telling us hes given all the rep points he can for 24 hours.
So i should 'grow up' for questioning you, or just grow up because i made this thread in the first place and a little fun on these forums is a Childish afair?

Sorry Bubble, it's not clear from my post that it is not aimed solely at you (although I quoted you ref. why not close the thread) but more at the general populus as a warning to people about rep-whoring, and to explain why it is undesirable and why we won't put up with it. True, picking out Rhori was in some ways a bit random, but he/she did stick out as being one of the more clear cases.... in all honesty he/she has ended up with a rep reset as an example to others that I am serious about resetting repcounts as a way to combat rep-whoring, for the reasons stated above.... it could have been a number of people to be fair, I guess Rhori drew the short straw.

Now, I can close this thread or people can carry on with some of the amusing points there have been, or even post some (mature please) comments about my posts... I'd prefer to leave it open and hope that common sense prevails and I don't have to reset any more rep-counts
