Also that'd mean that if you did want to go yu could probably make travel arrangements with people near you too?

That is the fucking problem, about 25% of the nation is in the Greater London area but they always assume they are the majority. Loads of people on these boards live north of the Watford Gap and west of Surrey. That is without even taking into account those people belonging to the savage tribes of Scandinavia ( ) or the other Europeens

Like many others I am not prepared to goto a meet in London, the cost is astronomical for those who don't live nearby to get there and you get stung again for accomodation/food/drink. London has alot going for it but the prices completely take the piss. I am sure the vocal 25% will get thier way again though because if they don't none of them will turn up.

Agreed, it is hard on you continetal folk, not bloody cheap for us living outside London either though. A meet in Amsterdam would be good, neutral ground for the vast majority, cheap flights to get there and a shitload cheaper than London to have a good time
