Take all the Muslims and hook them up with Paralytics, nutrients and CNS stimulants and make a giant arsed battery using the electrical output of their bodies?
There'd have to be enough in London alone to power half the country!

Do the same for all religious folk and you've got my vote.

Stick the anti-religion peeps in there too, wouldn't want them to get out of hand :p

Just on the off chance that was aimed at me - I'm not even remotely anti-religion, I'm anti-stupidity. Entirely different thing, though admittedly it means I end up being anti the same people.

Epic resurrect. But cool :)

The US is thinking of sending all its nuclear R&D to China 'cause the "looser regulatory framework" (and the ability of china to build fucking quickly (like 17 months from idea to functional power station)) allows them to try stuff that would be illegal in the states.

I've changed my mind BTW. Not about nuclear being a bad idea. Just about caring enough to be bothered any more :)

The OP was about decommisioning Trawsfynydd the old magnox nuclear power plant.
I live within 40 miles of it and never once had the slightest concern about it.
I used to work for a medical diagnostics firm that makes blood and urine testing kits. One family of tests is called RIA (radioimmunoassay) and uses Iodine 125 as a tagging isotope. I worked alongside the stuff day in, day out and never worried about it.

There are a lot of misconceptions about radioactivity. Go look up your typical exposure to natural background radiation, and then compare it with exposure from various man-made sources. You'll see that just living, drinking, eating and breathing make up the largest part of your annual radiation dose.

I suspect it has already been said before but in response to the thread title:
