imho it is becuase daoc has put "gamers" together with "rpgs"/"chatters"/"traders"/"Crafters"

hope my meaning is understandable ...

for the "gamer" there is no skill in this game ...

not like in RTS or FSP games ..

i played the old timer RTS starcraft a few days ago with a RL frined who still follow that sceen a bit but more on a casual lvl nowerdays..

when we played he uses a program who tells him how many actions he make pr minute so he knows if he is slacking it ...

under 150 actions pr min is considered slacking it .............. when we played he was around 180 most of the time ...

180 !! ... that means you give imput to the comp around 3 times each sec ....

daoc will be require that much thought for a "gamer" ... but for those who use's keybord to turn view etc etc (seen em play RL) ofcuase you can se they are less skilled ...
but tbh i think they are just in the game to have chat, find loot etc...

Yes, Daoc consists of both Hardcore players and Casual players.

Some people don't realise this, and keep slagging of the casual players as somewhat lesser beings. ( or the hardcore players for not responding to PM's in the middle of a fight, not rezzing the dead while running past in a RvR-group etc )
