It's the wmv 9 codec I'm using, not 7.

I don't like the route divx 5 is going and I don't find it to be the best codec for fast moving action. I've never even heard of Xvid. Besides wmv is free and very easy to use.

Could you explain to me why you think divx or Xvid is so much better, and I might consider changing format for my next videos.

well...easy anwswer: im running win2k and old mediaplayer( best one imo...)

and the codec form your movie.zip wont install on my OS/Mediaplyer ;> (says i need windows mediaplayer 7.0 ..)



besides .wma takes ages too load, fuzzy quality.

In what resolution do you record those?

Looks higher then 800x600... More in the area of 1024x768...

Using VCR?

Been wanting to make some movies myself... But 800x600 is just lame (hate playing in that resolution)

2 separate PCs

1 with S-Video in (recording PC)
1 with S-Video out (source PC)

Record while you play.

The tv-out is 1024x768 but the resolution I capture at is 640x480 otherwise my capture machine will start to drop a lot of frames.

Tried that, but only PC with TV in is the computer I play my main char on... The other one is my laptop (tv-out) and its not fun to play on that one...

I suspect I'll have to use a VCR and just capture the parts I want... But it means I have to play in 800x600, which I hate (obvious reasons)....
