Nostalgic Games

While i'm in the process of getting Settlers 2 reloaded <cough cough> i had a quick flashback to the original. Retro gfx and gameplay, but still a great timewaster.

Don't get me wrong i enjoy the latest and greatest games, but retro games i just seem to enjoy far more.

What old school games particularly do you/did you enjoy?

Baldurs gate I (2 was better, but didnt come with the book sized manual, which made a good bedtime read )

Final fantasy VII - usually play this once a year anyway, but always evokes memories.

Quake I - when we had our first PC, my dad banned us from playing games on it. but my uncle gave me a copy of this, and well, i installed it anyway. scared the hell out of me, very atmospheric.

anything from the "One Disc" demo disc you got with PS1 originally. that pirate game where you had to drive a ship around was brilliant!

Batman on the game boy. was shit hard.

but the one im still hoping someone will remake with shiny gfx and what not, is Syndicate / Syndicate Wars. and the second one, imo, still has the best/most atmospheric intro movie of any game ever
