missing 1 game tho crispy - Not mentioning Unirally is a sin!
THE INCREADIBLE MACHINE :worthy:

QFT

Crispy and me usually played the same games so he mentioned some good ones (ofc missing some c64 karate games). Killer Instinct was a great fighting game. and crispy was a beast with 36+ hit combos :( so many awesome features for ending enemies (raptor could eat people, Cinder could toast them and so forth!)
Unirally was the king of SNES in my eyes, you could keep going and going beating records - even in the first map.
Donkey Kong 2 - Diddy Kongs Quest: missed out 2 tokens to get to the secret island :(

but the game that gives me the most nostalgic feeling has to be Diablo II. sometimes out of the blue i just get the feeling of Diablo II. its not possible to explain.

Settlers 2 (all the newer ones are crap)

Never has a truer word been spoken.

The later ones became "modernised". I.e. remove the entire thing that made it great because it was too complicated for your average chav and turn it into a crap rts. :twak:

1. Civilization 2 (Can play those Scenarios over and over and over and over, like being the neutral forces in WW2, rocks)
2. Shogun: Total War (Always great fun, awesome strategic battles where you control huge armies unit by unit)
3. Heroes Of Might And Magic 3 (Always an ok game to spend some time on)

Main priority for me really is to make it simple and easy, ie Civ3, where they totally fucked it up by making it far to complicated and stressful to play imo, so it aint such an easy timewaster anymore. Civ2 is great however.

And ofc, there's games like Diablo, Delta Force, Warcraft, Dark Colony, Rollercoaster Tycoon and other easy ways to kill time :)

LOL :D true!

The trick was to lift up the joystick and just shake it.

We used a golf ball on the speccie keyboard. Ofc Daleys was superceeded by Hypersports.

Knightlore is still one of the most atmospheric games ive played - quite an acheivement for 8 bits.

Oh, Moria on mainframe. I'd recommend anyone to put some time into playing some of the nethack style stuff even these days. Quite a learning curve, but highly addictive and huge variety.

Look for nethack, moria, umoria, angband, zangband and give em a go (are loads of others - perhaps peeps could post up their own faves). Moria probably the easiest to start off with.

Worked last summer i tried it, not sure now though.

On the karate/ninja thingy, have to mention The Last Ninja ofcourse.

And that game where you went up a house, or some such, gathered throwing stars and..all that.

Also, teenage mutant ninja turtles. The one on nintendo where the second level is the city and you get the turtlevan and so forth..not the streetfightingmoving thingy :D
