[noob]keyboard problem on laptop

its probably something i've accidently switched off and just not realised (not used to using laptop yet) but from yesterday i can no long hold down buttons to type,for example i hold down the a key: a and yet i only get one! its very annoying as i use the arrow keys alot to move around documents and yet i cant now because i have to press for each space i move argh (see?!?!)

anyone with any ideas what i've done?

you can check it there (if its windows)

there is a repeat delay and a repeat rate

you can also test it in the box at the bottom

either that or you are using FilterKeys to stop the keyboard from repeating the key strokes if you hold a key down

if you have not done this on purpsoe you may have held the SHIFt key down for 8 or more seconds and then blindly clickon on "ok" to get rid of the popup that comes on
