well... it's been around a while, students tell each other where they had good experiences in clubs etc, i suppose word gets around quickly. the dj is very good, the light jock is also good. they do deals every night of the week apart from saturdays, mondays thursdays and saturdays are pretty much consistently packed (it's picking up again after christmas)

we had a peptalk from the management just before zanzibar opened, they were scared. apparently the company behind zanzibar has pretty much swept around the country eating competition up. but we seem to be holding our own atm :)

ah well, i wish them luck. it doesn't really affect me either way (i don't think destiny will be closing down any time soon. so my job is safe methinks/hopes) :)

We have Pound a Drink night every monday and thursday night in a club/bar near us. Pulls a hell of a lot more people in than it does on a friday or saturday (and a hell of a lot more people than any of the other bars or clubs). I don't even go out much now on a friday or saturday. A good night on a friday will usually cost me 50 quid or more when you throw in taxis in the early hours.

We go out for a short night out on Monday and thursday. Go to some random drinking establishment and then end up in this place (Bar-M). We then stumble to the bus stop and get the 00:15 bus back home and are in bed by 01:00.

Fun Night had by all, and can cost as low as 15 quid.

This place rakes in the money but is usually not as full on a friday or saturday because the prices go back up.

Oh, special nights allways go down a treat too, like Drum and Bass nights, or Old Skool etc.

What ever you do don't get Keith Chegwin to come along i have just got back from a club where Cheggers was and there has never been such a quick clearout in all the nights i have been there (I used to work in the club btw). Please for the love of god man dont get the Cheg man there!

was in destiny's last night. spotted timmy mallet :). Guy was funny for 5 minutes, but slowly got irritating.

Also wtf does it take so long to get a drink in there ! :) Need more bar staff :p

I was at the bar near the dance floor (one near the stairs to the upper level, near the main enterance). Only guy I saw serving that night had blond hair (I think) and a stud or something near the corner of his right eye.

hmm, i think you mean "odd lad who spends far too much time on his hair"... and yes, everyone was ready to string mallet up by the end of the night, although, he is one helluva crowd motivator :)

hehe, i haven't seen it done in a club before, but i've been to a party like that... was... interesting. it should be a good laugh tho :)

Can I get free entry for being a minor celebrity? could slap up a column with pics of you behind bar and me in club saying "Here's two typical gamers" Don't believe the media hype :)
