no I will never know what it feels like to have a bb die, because I don't have one, but more importantly I don't care. I think it's fantastic that mythic have provided a tool to farm BB's I wish it was used more. BB's ruin this game.

Plz be nice 2 Shar, hes a guildie and a old m8, im pay him with sex0r to kill bb's at MTK 2 try and distress the sb/hunters. Maybe if some hunters had any brains, they would do the same at ATK.

Stealthers are balanced after BB's. Its not 1.36 anymore where
noone had resist and no ra's. Nearly every class in the game
has been improved to the point that they cannot be killed by an unbuffed stealther. What xtra power has the main stealthers, assasins and archers, gotten to combat instas, lifedrains, debuffs, spreadheals, resists ....
Mythic could improve these classes, but its much bigger profit to
allow the use of BB's.

The losers in this is not the rr8+ hib, mid or alb in a group covered by healing, face & assist, its those non stealth soloers in rvr. Then again im yet to see a hib group lead by Nol spare any of these.

Hmmm... weird. That is the whole point here.

When you kill BB, someone loses buffs.

I wonder why people do it. I know if i had a ranger that was unbuffed, why not make it more equal?

You will never see me spare a stealther, ever, why? because I don't see any moral code amongst stealthers when they add in fg fights. I have no problem with stealthers adding, I expect it at Milegates or popular battle areas, but by the same token I will never spare a stealther, ever. If I do, then happy xmas.

That goes for more then just stealthers, I am a roleplayer, I kill enemies, as I expect to get killed when I meet a group of the enemy, which I do on many occassions.

Why the hell should BB's be spared, they are fair game just like every other character.

Stealthers vs non stealthers is, the stealthwar is another story.
As a stealther you have no option but to use a BB, because

a) You wont get regular groups, which means no 'normal' buffs
b) Just about any enemy you meet will be buffed either by a BB or by his group.

In old days an unbuffed archer might kill an enemy mage in a fight, but with all the new abilities and sc maxed out armor its
hard even fully buffed. A good mage will have 1400 hp, max resist
and insane healing, and hitting him for 270 each 3 second is not gonna do the job.

Oh dear, when I read this post, I was actually embarrassed to be a Mid!

1.) Volley (and long shot) has been around an age all three realms have it, every player from all realms must know of its existence. All realms at some stage have lost BB’s at portal keeps to a Volley wielding archer.

2.) GOA recently posted that all kills at Portals Keeps are fair game (and those at Border Keeps are not.).

3.) BB’s are valid targets, and as Nol pointed out, any role player worth their salt will take them out, and any CounterStrike rp whore will take them out too, each BB must be worth around 1000 rp’s.

4) Killing the archer is relatively straight forward as is protecting the BB.

Come on kids what the feck is the problem?


On a sidenote:
You often don’t see Hunters with Volley and the prerequsit Longshot. Hunters are nerfed to hell and need to spend their 14 RP’s else where. Five shots from a portal guard will always kill a Ranger or Hunter (as they don’t have as shield).

actually GOA said that kills at portal keeps are fine and that passing a border keep is not fine. You are not allowed to enter an enemy realm, but to attack an enemy border keep is fine (as long as you dont pass it and enter the enemies realm). So killing buffbots/people inside the Border keep is allowed.

Rules & Procedures

This week, some reminders about the in-game rules, especially for portal keeps and border keeps

There are no rules preventing anyone to "attack" portal keeps in the frontiers and if someone can kill your character while you were in a portal keeps, there is nothing wrong in doing so. Portal keeps are VERY heavily defended and nearly un-attackable, but with some strong forces or some cleverly used realm abilities, one can stay alive in an ennemy portal keep long enough to kill some, there is, again nothing wrong with this.

Border keeps are NOT meant to be crossed in any way. While you are free to try and attack the border keep itself, you are not allowed, with no exceptions, to cross it and enter an enemy inner realm. If you happen to enter an enemy inner realm, for whatever reason, you are asked to suicide on the closest guard or monster you can find. Failing in doing so is a breech of the Code of Conduct and can lead to actions taken against your account. Another solution if you find yourself in an enemy inner realm is to log out immediately and to contact the customer support.
