Hi guys,

thought I would post here, as I know you have a wealth of knowledge in various areas[/suckup]

I'm looking to put a decent soundcard in my PC (currently using onboard sound :S, gigabyte GA-K8NF-9). I get crackly sound when playing BF2, and it is getting on my nerves now.

If anyone can suggest a new sound card, sub £100, that would be great :D

The soundblaster xfi music is a great card. It unlocks a special sound setting in BF2 as it's much better at doing a large number of sound sources in hardware.

The X-Fi also gets my vote. Under 100 quid and in BF2 will give you extended sound settings whilst increasing your FPS.
