One a week, looks like. The next 3 of Stranger Things on Christmas Day and then the last one on NYE. They're really stretching it out which is a bit of an affront because it's taken them so long to make the last couple of seasons but it's still watchable.

Will wait until they're all in and download 'em. (Dodges the adverts that way too).

Don't mind the ST release schedule - breaks it up effectively into a 3 night viewing event for me, which is good because I won't be able to use it as an excuse for doing fuck all during the day just because it's raining outside :)

My wife and I made a deal - We watch stranger things in return for watching a TV series of my choice. It's not bad actually, I didn't think I'd like it, but I do. My wife gets a little annoyed that I know what some of the Dungeons and Dragons things are before they explain it on the show. "How do you know what a <insert D&D monster> is??"

It's alright, it's watchable but it feels like it just needs to be over, now. All of the "kids" are in their mid-20s now, it's ridiculous and, subjectively, a couple of them haven't developed into very good adult actors. It's a beautiful, stylish show though and the music is consistently great. They've definitely nailed the era vibe, all the way through.

One or two are shocking actors, and one or two clearly would like to be away doing something else, but it's one of those shows my kids got into when they were old enough so we watch it together. First four eps were good and I did love the bit the bit where Robin thinks she's having the "OK to be gay" talk and Will is taking it as the "OK to be a real wizard" talk.

Man. I'm so naive. I need to rewatch that.

The OK to be gay talk I got. I didn't read it from his standpoint :D

So just watched two rather contrasting new shows; Star Fleet Academy and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. I will give Star Fleet a few episodes because they do sometimes take a bit of time, but it's set in the Discovery/Burn era and I dunno, lots of cliched writing in Episode 1 so it didn't really give me any warm and fuzzies. On the other hand, Knight, despite next to nothing happening in Episode 1, immediately felt like it was something I'm going to like.

Started Knight...

Not a spoiler, but the comedic nature of it seems weird in this universe.

I wonder if that's how it's written.

Both are on my list of things to watch. I think I'll mentally get on better with Fleet because the GoT franchise needs to die already. So hoping this is actually a good watch after the first few episodes come out. We couldn't finish beyond season 1 of House of Dragon (maybe 3 episodes into S2) as it just dragged on.

We've just finished Culinary Class Wars S2, it's as good as S1.

Queer Eye season 10 we've just started.

We watched the opening 20m of IT/Derry then noped.

Academy is shit, you just literally watched the start of Discovery S1 again, exactly the same story layout, singled out individual, but they're special, so none of what would happen to anyone else happens to them (outlaw to academy is just job titles from criminal to bridge officer).

The deception is good though, I actually wasn't bothered until it clicked I'd seen it before.

The nostalgia pump is also turned up way too high, especially with the references to dead series like Prodigy

Maybe it's a bit more front and centre in this but Game of Thrones had its fair share of laughs. House of the Dragon, not so much.

This is a pretty good summary, without all the rage bait stuff the internet is hitting up in general

Watching Landman season 2, it's so good. Two episodes to go, will be sad when I have to wait for the next season.

Wonder Man is surprisingly good. I wasn't sure what to expect but it pulls off something quite different from other MCU stuff. And they released all the eps at once so you can binge it.
