Watched E1 and E2 last night - Kept me off my phone at least. Oddly entertaining.
The Residence - Netflix.
Watching it now. Just because it upsets the bright orange gimp.
The latest South Park is borderline assault. Brilliant.
Pretend we don't know which specific episode in the 27 seasons of South Park you're talking about.South Park seem unable to pull the punches.
Vance is my absolute favourite.South Park seem unable to pull the punches.

King and Conqueror is so... BBC in production and it's horribly historically accurate.
Sure they're characters we don't know loads about but they sure do take liberties.
yeah apologiesHorribly historically...inaccurate?
I just IMDB'd the cast. Yeah....no.
So issues so far - very much spoilers...
This is based on my own understanding, I haven't done any further research this is from memory, so there might be bits I'm completely wrong about...
There's a black henchman type character which I do find historically questionable, but could be acceptable due to the pilgrimages to the holy land etc, but there's no explanation of this.
BUT there is a black noble family which makes 0 sense with a crazy feminist black woman too.
Edward the Confessor is portrayed as being a complete nutter that's a mummy's boy and she has control until he has a mental break and kills her, oh and she goes on about how 'God' is bullshit, which is completely historically inaccurate - Christianity was relatively new which solidified the position of Kings, it would be absolutely stupid of anyone who supports the King to question religion.
Edward's wife (Harold's sister) goes and stabs a messenger in the neck, lol.
Harald Hardrada is portrayed as a blood-thirsty viking pagan which again is silly, (immediately beheaded a friendly 'English' messenger) especially since he's a character who's stupidly famous and we know loads about him already.
They go to London where there's a stone castle, I could be wrong here but I'm sure Winchester was still the seat of power and there was only a stone castle when the Normans came. (It looked like a Roman castle but looked brand new in horrible CGI)
Harold Godwinson and William of Normandy seem to meet up and have these crazy events happen to them which certainly didn't happen.
Harold goes on some rescue mission for his wife which also didn't happen.
Oh and they also make a point of the Viking descendants being quite alien to them, even though they've inter married for generations.
There's also many historical people that are pretty much comedy characters which sucks too.
There's more that I cba to list.
The annoying part about it is that information is limited anyway but the information we definitely DO know makes a fascinating story in itself and I wouldn't be too bothered if they filled the gaps with made up shit to make it interesting but they completely deviate off the information we do know.
I'll update once I've finished, but I'm expecting some concept that William was somehow superior to Harold when in reality Harold was arguably superior but was pretty damn unlucky.
I know a fair bit about the Norman conquest (I blame The Rest is History for sending me off down many rabbit holes; I've just read a 1000 page book on the 30 Years War thanks to them), so I suspect this would make me blow a blood vessel. Even the line you mention about Harald Hardrada makes me want to scream; he was very Christian.
I think I'll pass on this.

If you want to watch a really decent drama loosely based on history, go for The Last Kingdom. It races through events, but it's always interesting to watch with good characters, good battles, and, well just good everything.

Just watched EP 1 - it's clearly bollocks. I am not a history buff at all though, so might try the next ep simply for the action and see if I get drawn in....King and Conqueror is so... BBC in production and it's horribly historically accurate.
