Enjoying Black Rabbit...

That's next on my list.

Going to finish Alien Earth, finish wherever Peacemaker is up to, then start this (probably early next week) - Bateman does thriller oddly well.

Yeah I remember how surprised everyone was when he was so good in Ozark when the first season came out. Jude Law is great in this as well.

Peacemaker is surprisingly "not awful" thus far

I was so annoyed at the season finale teasing the next one but not providing a date

Down Cemetery Road is excellent.
It's no Slow Horses (source material by same author) but it's good in its own right and Emma Thompson is in it so it's got that going for it.

Dept. Q was good as well (nothing to do with Mick Herron but similar vibe at times)...

Finally finished Yellowstone, 1883 and 1923. 1883 is probably the best of the lot, but they're all good.

Just started watching The Orville for the first time. As a big fan of STTNG I love it. And the jokes are pretty good.

Watched any of it? I did like the trailer.

Would you give me a tank if it made me happy?

I watched the first episode and sort of gave up on the second because the main character is so unlikeable. I should probably give it a couple of more episodes as she will probably have "layers"*, but there's also the problem that hive minds as a concept give me the heaves on general principles, and I'm already picking mental plot holes in the concept of humans as hive minds.

(*and there is absolutely fuck all else on at the moment)

There are so many holes it sometimes feels like the show itself is exploring them but I'm quite enjoying it. As for Carol being a dick, I think she's being pretty reasonable tbh. The only other non-affected people she's met so far all think it's great and, unlike all of them, she doesn't appear to have any family and her best (and only?) friend died before her eyes as it was all kicking off. She wasn't exactly a ray of sunshine before so her reluctance to go along with it all is understandable.

Anyway, The Chair Company is well worth a watch...

...and I enjoyed All Her Fault more than I expected to...

There were rolling eyes on several occasions but it was good enough to keep me hooked, especially later on, where it got super-dark.

It's perfectly passable but it's got too much expectation put on it due to it following Better Call Saul. It does feel like it'll pull a Lost S1 though in that not much is going to happen given it's already 4 episodes in.

It's really well put together, some silly bits but was a shame it got canned.

It hasn't been cancelled afaik it's seth wanting to solo write most of the scripts and not have a big writers room to speed it up, so the time to get a seasons worth of episodes is hella long.
Think he had turned a bunch of his spec star trek scripts into earlier orville eps.

The other two significant writers only did a few eps each and both were both writers from earlier star trek shows.
