Hey all, im new to Midgard at the moment and i'm looking to start or join an RvR Guild.

Im a 50 healer at the moment, but just looking for some people who might be interested in starting a new RVR guild.

Good luck finding a guild Elasto. Fed aren't an RvR guild though we do trundle out the frontiers regularly. In my case to hand out cheap RP

I'm intrigued that guilds are being very specific about what they will recruit. I've got a sneaking suspicion that in the long run they will get themselves into a lot of trouble when they lack a pool of players to draw on.

we are very small, and want to try and stay that way so not to leave people out of guild groups

however, we do need certain classes / specs to make our guild groups more fun for all involved. at the moment we are lacking in skalds, so we need 1 or 2, we also only have 1 aug healer, but 3 pac healers... itd be unfair to recruite another pac healer only for them to ask in /gu if its there turn in the group yet... where as if we recruite an aug healer, they will get a group most runs, same with a skald

we're not fotm, we usually run effective pbae groups, we have 3 moc supp sm's, 2 pac healers so we just need the group balancing with a speed class, an aug healer for resists and mebbe a roony with 6sec pbt.

if we recruited thanes, dark sm's ^^, more pac healers.... then they wouldent work with the setup we have right now and would find themselves not enjoying the group if they got a spot, as there viability in the group would be nothing more than a "spot filler" so to speak.

hope you understand, its not prejudace against class / race / spec etc... its just what we we're lacking from day 1. once these spots are filled, its likley we will stop recruiting.

edit: forgot to mention, we have around 20 active members... warriors, thanes, sm's, cave shammys etc and we dont just run pbae groups, sometimes we just go out with what we've got and it works very well.... but cant fit everyone into a group so they miss out untill someone leaves group.

How do you see mechanism of that happening? RvR guilds recruit up classes theat the realm generally lacks (active shamen for example), rest of the realm is left bone dry, become unable to make functional groups and quit? Sounds logical but its not how it actually works imo.

It is very likely that in several of the Master Level trials, you're better off with a group consisting of characters you're not actively recruiting.

Although, by that time, I'm sure you could borrow those characters from other guilds when needed. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

well good luck with it mate, im not a great lover of RvR guilds but i suppose times change and i know its hard to do anything in rvr without the opted grps..... even though winning as a non-opted grp is much more fun

Yes it WAS, but shows the Vigrid also is the name of a neo-nazi group in sweden or something, so they got Kemor to change it, afaik.
