I thought it turned out to be her in the first cut-scene?

I was actually trying to point out the severe lack of plot description. All the thing tells me is that its about a girl in a world of demons who are fighting thingys.

Not exactly the most impressive way for me to buy something.

From that very page:

"The story starts with some impressive cut scene-age, as we swing down over a traffic laden bridge in a dark and busy US city. Jen's boyfriend, lead singer of a rock band, is being stalked by some dark figure - presumed by the couple to be an Avid Marion style obsessive fan. It's actually a big horrible monster and its attack leaves Jen in hospital and what's more, in a coma...

So - Jen's in hospital and her boyfriend is gone. With the help of the mysterious gargoyle Scree, it's time for an epic Lord of the Rings style voyage through four separate fantasy realms of 3D action, adventure and combat."

...and it goes on.

Basic plot outline - but without giving away anything that could be construed as spoilers. Surely that's what people want?

I don't mind ppl slating the site if that's what they think, but not when we're slated for not having something we have or not having done something we have done! Errr...if you follow. :)

I don't think you can ask for more than the "box description".
If you really need more just read a review.
Can't comment on the webby, can't be arsed looking :)

Precisely! If you do need more you can get the developer's insight from the interview, a preview which covers basic plot and what the game is roughly about, and a review which tells you whether it's any cop.

I can't think of any other info that would be of use to anyone considering buying that title!

JD:
but something like 99.9% of people that order before 2pm DO get it in the post the next morning anyway, so my point stands.

I guess after all my comments it was pretty inevitable I would be in the 0.1 % ;)

Ordered sat morning -- now I wouldnt partic assume on weekend service so I thought monday was unlikely but I was rather hoping Id see it today -- oh well.

Hmm did get it this morning but......

Also have to say I wasnt impressed with the order tracker -- i tried it several times yesterday, both just from web and from the link in my confirmation email (which just took me to thge same page where I had to re-enter details anyway) --- and it kept saying it could find no record. To mention the "other" people you dont like for games - Play -- I have to say I find their order thing much better -- tells me exactly where my order is at a glance

Oh you have had a bad time of it :( . The order tracker broke a couple of days ago, and was fixed yesterday. A teething problem of the new site, not that that makes it ok of course.

No...not necessarily. We beat them on shedloads of stuff. Not sure how many more times I need to say this...

Heh you may beat them on base price but....

I ordered from Game saturday morning and a DVD from Play sunday evening -- now counting the weekend as early monday ordering that means the same time really ---- I got both packages today -- but Play didnt charge me for delivery ;)

Im not saying I won't use Game again, I know one order is not really enough to write off a company on etc (and if you have prices a lot lower than elsewhere its still gonna be cheaper even with delivery etc) --- but it does mean that I wont be rushing back to Game if prices are equal elsewhere ---- I guess Ill just have to see what its like next time I order a well priced item from ya ;)

I have done a quick price check on 7 games:

Championship Manager 4
Unreal 2003
Project IGI 2
Hitman 2
Freelancer
Battlefield 1942
Splinter Cell

Game's total cost £212.73 if all bought seperately. (£202 if all at once which I would never do!!)

Gamesplanet total cost £169.93

A Saving of £42.80 (avg £6 per game)

I know where I will be shopping.

And as soon as there's a game I want to buy that you sell cheaper (after delivery price) I'll be buying from you. It's just that there hasn't been yet.

edit: incase you want to be picky: Metal Gear Solid 2 (xb), Munchs Oddysey, Splinter Cell (xb - about £13 more on your site..)

And herin lies the problem. You can buy games, cd's and dvd's at Play. At Game you can buy loads of PC games, some console games and Stargate DVD's. Forgive me if I'm not rushing to give my cash to Game.

It is all swings and roundabouts really, gamesplanet for example charge more for Zelda than GAME and more for Freelancer than PCWORLD yet are cheeper on Vietcong...etc etc.

I personally go to the place that offers the best price, I have little belief in shop loyalty and reward cards tend not to work on me....generally I hate shopping on the high street since I hate crowds etc.

I mainly buy stuff from Game because it is the closest shop (of any kind) on my side of town and I'm too lazy to look anywhere else. The only other place I go is Gamestation, but only when I want to sell something. Hate PC World btw, has the workings of the devil behind it.

I still don't understand what you're trying to say.

You don't want to shop with us because we don't sell things that, as a videogames specialist, we don't sell?

Play, as an entertainment retailer, don't sell insect repellent...is that a problem as well?

I just don't get it at all. We're called GAME, we sell games, and you're ripping into us for this reason?
