ok i am wanting to network my pc's i got a vista 64 bit edition and a standard 32 bit xp now ive never really made a network especially between 2 different OS i mainly want it to access my IDE hard drives in other comp anyone give me an idiots guide or point me in the direction of one :) thxs in advance

It's not as difficult as it looks :)

On the drive you're wanting to share (don't share the whole drive, only folders within for security reasons) just right click and go to Share (or something with the word Share in so it's the same for XP and Vista). Bypass all the wizards and just give it a name and job will be done, it'll be accessible by the other machine regardless of it's OS. You can give it specific permissions so only one other computer or one other user can access that information, just click the permissions tab in the same screen.

I'd post pictures or the likes but don't have access myself here to do that just yet :)
