Armsmen and paladin have to spend twice the points for same variance on 2h!!!!

Uh, an arms + pally will always have variance with 2H while mid and hib will only have variance if their spec isnt 50 (with items + rr)...

But :

39 slash/39 2h, +11 to both=both 50, 39 lw/etc, +11=50 - wouldn't those result in same variance?

yeah but doesnt an armsmen who specs as much as possible in 2h do more damage than a warrior who specs 50 in whatever weapon he has ?

yup, full specced arms does 140% dmg vs. 125% for mids and hibs. Percentages relative to 1H dmg. In practise however the percentages are more or less equal for all realms

Paladin / Armsman 2H will do less damage then a Warrior / Hero 2H... With a much higher variance... The cap *might* be higher, but average damage surely isnt...

But, Mythic will probably remove the need to dual-spec, so arms will head the same way as Hero's... 2H/Pole will then probably be for all damage types...

Warriors have ~10% higher weapskill so no :(

NERF plate...
NERF Faith Healing
NERF Endurance Chant
NERF A few other things

= Give em an easier time speccing weaps (you cant have it all)

Armsman:

NERF Plate
NERF SB

ah k. cool then warriors are were designed to have higher weaponskill than any other class in the game.

so wouldn't an armsman do more damage on soft targets than a hero/warrior on average?

damage would be lower on average vs other tanks tho?

Actually that 140% v 125% only applies on styled damage.

On base the tests show numbers the same. So Arms/pallies pay twice to get same damge as other 2h users, plus less defense and only one damage type into the bargain.

But anyway - just nerf savages.

No they weren't... They whined and whined and whined and got +10% more weapskill. Like hunters (~5% more).

Sure but then nerf Hero Moose and Warrior higher basedamage + weapon skill too. Oh yeah, and nerf high str. races in mid and hib too.... can't have it all..... go figure

Oh you conviniently forgot a lot of other things that arms/pala don't get but hibs/mids get. GG. Why don't you go find out those things and come back to post them.

Nahh i let it stand there in the light for you to realize that not 2 char types are the same, some lack something - which is then compensated with other utilities. I mentioned Plate and some group skills. Last i checked, Warrior and Heroes had none of those (would be fun with group Moose though - just for the GFX effect).

Well if you want to remove the higher Warriors higher WS then give us a spec no other class in mid has access to set us apart from the other pure tanks. I bet you'd just love to get hammered by a troll with a f.ex polearm?

The variance 2h/polearm are suffering from is really redicolous! With 50/50spec (2x hero & warrior) you still have a stupid damage variance. First blow you hit for 350, second one 500 and etc.

I dont have a problem with double-speccing really, the hybrid template works very well for both alb and hib - mid have a rather boring spec since they only can spec 50/50/28 :) But fix the damage variance, it shouldnt be that high - it should be less than those who only spend 50pts instead of those who spend 100. Sounds pretty fair doesnt it :)

For the upcoming patch Mythic has stated they'll have a look at this, hopefully they come up with a brilliant solution as usual ;)

If the Half Ogre thingy has normal stats (troll like) and not some odd high int as i am afraid it will expect to see some Half Ogre Armsmen going pole and not using quick at all for massive damage. But that would take loads of time :D

With Mythic logic this solution probably involves stripping us of all armor and weapons, the proceeds to pit us against each other in a mud pool. (wouldn't mind this with Norse chicks! :eek6: ) :p

No, you're just trying to mix shit in... Give one good reason as to why arms & pala's must double-spec? Having plate/chants isn't any kind of answer, those are different things - evade1+chain=plate in Mythic's view and chants=champ shit sortof as in both are hybrids.

if u remove h2h 360evade, studded armor (restrict to cloth) and tehn savages would be balanced :D



heros/warriors/armsmen are fine just need to fix the double speccing e.g. give more damage as armsmen need to spend 2x points or do something which allows armsmen to have a valid hybrid spec like warriors/heros

p.s. yes i know u can have hybrid specs as armsmen but 50cs 42shield 6blades whatever for example is like 50 pole 50 thrust 42 shield etc in which the armsman cannot compete
