This brings our prices about level with the US subs. I think we should demand in-game support, or at least some way of communicating dirrecty with a person who actually knows something, instead of the single sentence predeffined replys from right-now.

It may not be much money, but if you just let then take it from you without asking what you will get in return, they will know they do not need to increase the quality of service to charge you even more, and will deffinatly not hire more translation staff, customer support or techs.

If they are putting the prices up, then they better dam well improve the joke that they like to call customer services.

I could forgive them before because we did pay so little for this game compared with the other MMORG's out there, but quite frankly GOA customer support is a joke!

When they start charging more they better use that money to actually improve the customer service and general level of support and game reliability. If they want more of my money they can dam well work for it!

true, its not much more money, but look at it as a percentage and its an extra 33% profits goa are getting. I think we should expect something extra from this really.

Dont you all agree?

Pft...its not the price increase I'm complaining about (totally) its the lack of any incentive to go along with these pay increases. Customer Support, Faster Patches, less delays, better news etc etc. I want my money's worth!!

If GOA ain't getting the XML fixed, better news, better support, AND FASTER PATCHES, after this price raise, I'm getting angry...

All do this

All go to the subscription page...cancel all your subscriptions, wait what GOA does and change them back (in a few days) to the normal 1 or 3 months after GOA downed the prices with 33% in stead of raising them with 33%

Ho ho! Some of the Anti-Repent replies make me laugh. :)

...sometimes.

Erm...getting back to topic, I think I will probably renew my Subs for a further month and see if GOA makes an effort to improve their so-called 'Customer Service' after the sub increase and if things haven't changed them, ka-pwing, I am outta here.

In theory...

DAoC is a dieing game, only now played by the hard core, the insane and the addicted :D. GOA have realised they had better milk the current customer base which is not getting any bigger while there are still some of us left!

For those that have not got the email yet or read the news on the main web site.

Hello,

More than a year after its launch, Dark Age of Camelot is going through a new evaluation of its subscription prices, while remaining the cheapest 2nd generation MMORPG on the market (from 9.16 € per month).
This change of tariffs will take effect at the 5th of May 2003 onwards, and will affect the subscriptions signed after this date.
The subscriptions still valid before the revaluation will not be affected until they are renewed, after the 5th of May 2003 onwards.

From this date the new subscription tariffs will be :

1 month subscription : 8£ or 12€
3 months subscription : 22£ or 32€ (less than 11 € per month)
6 months subscription : 41£ or 60€ (10€ per month)

On this occasion we have decided to create a new type of subscription, 12 months for 75£ or 110€ (9.16€ per month).

Sincerely yours,

The DAoC Europe Team.

How about just *Everyone* cancelling their autorenew?

Can renew when the time comes anyway without downtime, and im sure they will notice it in their "statistics" ;)

You whining cunts. If you pay monthly, with 1 month subscriptions, it's 50p extra a week (dunno what it is in Euros, sorry :p). That is a can of drink. ie...nothing. If you currently pay every 6 months and now switch to the yearly subscription it's £15 extra over a year. That's 29p a week, not even a packet of crisps, and this is all for your 24/7 (mostly) servers to play on as and when you want.

Basically what I'm saying is they are not asking much...it's a pittence...you could afford it if you were on the dole etc :>
