Need or Greed?

Just a quick question!

People who camp the rarest artifacts in the game 24/7, are you guys doing that cos you need them, or just to sell them to make money? It's been a few days now, and everytime i check GoV and SoM, its camped by someone. GOA should lower the respawn on those hard mobs to 1 hour for 2 weeks, and the prices would go down. Or, the farmers could just take a few weeks off, and let the people who need them atleast get the encounter.

soz for that kaj, it is a habbit off ppl that play a lot to have a lot.. and yes it is verry annoying to never be able and do some events..or get some things fair and fun.
Then prices are made even more rediculous.; so to put it short, they just make sure that only Hard-core players will have those things first and alone.
Pitty to say so, always have been that way always will be that way.

Nothing GOA can do about spawn timers. It is set by Mythic that every XX mins or hours it has a chance to spawn if it is down.

As for people camping arties, well there are people that need the arties and people that need the money from them. I am glad I didn't spend time camping (cause I cba). Took me quite some time to get my arties but made it (well, I would love having SOM but plain simply cba camping it!).

Yeah your right, i work everyday, even weekends, so i rarely have time to "farm" the artifacts i need. And ive been told that you are really gimped if you dont have ToA armor

I really dont need any help, i have lots of friends, and my guild mates are great Thanks for the offer. It's just that everytime we go to check for the artis, they are always camped. And most of the time by the same people from the same guilds. Its sad that they made it like this, i mean 40hour respawn on an item is a bit to much. Thats around 1k users play everyday, which means for everyone to get the arti would take about a year.

Im sure this has no effect on the farmers, but if you do read this, and want to help out it would be very appriciated.
This is my main char btw, i dont have alts, so i only need 1 of each arti, i dont care for money, i just want to finish the template so i can hit the RvR.

Right, so we cant change the timers.
I understand if people farm it maybe 2 or even 3 times, SoM pays well. But some people do it more than that, and put it on their merchants for silly ammounts of plats Wouldnt it be nicer to just give it, or sell it a bit cheaper to a realm mate? I mean, this is still Realm vs Realm right? And we are fighting together to defend the realm and the keeps? Its like an civil war going on with all the artifacts and prices now.

Just cos i dont have time, or a necro+buffbot with FoP, doesnt mean i dont want to enjoy the game.

imho it should work like this....

1. if you have the Artifact you cannot start or get that aretifact AGAIN EVER.
i.e if you kill the mob it doesnt drop anything for you.
2. if you have the artifact and try to start the encounter.. you insta die.. something about Atlantean power destroying you.
3. Aslong as someone in the group doesnt have the artifact.. i.e *mythic need to code something to say (xxx has this artifact/sold it on xx day) then you can help... but will not recieve.. imho this would perma stop artifact camping and reduce prices to ZERO cos you couldnt farm it.. and if you did sell it your screwed.

Did it perhaps occur to your miniscule brain that Marc's post actually was based on the truth? That certain scouts have a habit of taking the cloak off the SoM encounter and port out with the ML6 Sojourner ability, leaving the group there to kill the cryosphinxes and earn them the credit?

That _could_ work. But probably wouldnt in the end. Its all about money, and farmers with buffbots and 2-3 necros is a large income for Mythic. They cant afford losing them. And they live for the farming, cos they sell plats for IRL money etc. (Which i think is just pathetic, but thats just me).

Only way to stop this, or atleast slow this down, is to ask the realm mates very nicely, to please cut down on the farmage, or just lower the prices so everyone can enjoy the game and help eachother in RvR. Its already bad enough that people looks down at you if you try to RvR below level 50 or in Epic armor.

You can´t camp artifacts. Or rather: you can camp them but it doesn´t give you a right to claim the artifact.
And I never had problems with joining a group for credit. If you ask them politely, most of them will let you join. Being a casual player myself due to job etc., I found out that getting the artis I want is far from being impossible. It just takes some time and effort, but you´ll get them sooner or later.

That's 50/50. Some people dont let me join for the encounter, hence why im writing this thread. And if i do get to join, im not allowed to roll on the item cos im only level 44. There are many reasons, and its just getting boring. People forgot about the RvR system

If it wasn´t for all those arti campers, there would probably be ten times less SoM´s in Albion and the frontiers.

I my self cba to camp either... I log on, see if any artys I need it up, and if I need help takeing it I call for in in /gu... even tho I can take most of it my self with a sally and bot and theurgist

been on 1 DV raid now have 30p so yes thats how to get money

never had a problem getting arties if there up as i normally make a raid starting at mid day (on my day off) finishing that night have got eerie darkness, belt of moon, band of stars, traldors on my mian then have got winged helm, scepter on memories, orglidarshs belt, kalars neck on my gf account

also i have got credit for loads of others including eoy gov winged dive and about 8 others

so yes the lazy player is dead not the casual

ML6 soj porting out with cloack = stealing artifact imo. You don't kill anymobs, you let another group that doesn't know the cloack has been ripped do the encounter. Therefor they should get the cloack, but you allready have it in your inventory = theft . And thus should be banned. Then again, that's just my opinion.

So let me get this straight. Im a lazy player cos i work 14-16hours every day and dont have time to play except 1-2 days every 3 weeks? Making no sense. And whats a DV raid? I am getting to 50, slowly, but getting there. Hard to get grps as a minstrel. I dont doubt ill be able to farm better than other classes at 50 btw, with the salamander charm and what I've heard and seen.

So.. To sum things up: This is not a RvR server, this is a Lazy Player vs Players with more time on their hands based Server, and the so called "lazy" players are losing the battle, BAD. And people really couldnt care less about this thread, cos trying to ask for something nicely is just pointless?

I guess i had this coming, thanks for all the replies though, ill keep at it, and maybe in a few months, you'll see me roaming the frontiers aswell.

You got it wrong there, read again what I wrote.. nobody said you´re a lazy player. All I said is that it´s absolutly possible to get every artifact you want even if you´re a casual player. You just have to arrange yourself with the circumstances and have some patience to farm money. And all the people who´re farming artifacts are in fact supporting your chances to get the artifacts because if they didn´t farm, there would be less artifacts in the cycle to buy.

This is not a RvR server, this is a Lazy Player vs Players with more time on their hands based Server, and the so called "lazy" players are losing the battle, BAD

What does RvR Server mean in your books?
This is a MMORPG.. a game where playtime = success. There will always be people who´re able to play 24/7 and have more money more items more xp/rp/ml than others. What do you expect those people to do? Farm stuff and hand it out for free?
You´re only losing the battle if you decide to be one of the lazy players.

DV = Deep Volcanus.. the ML7 dungeon.

Nope, thats why i said i was asking people to be more friendly and not so aggressive. If you see someone who really needs the encounter, let them join. And if you want to be really nice, let them roll on the item. (If they are 40+ or 45+ whatever you decide).

I concur. I once went to check Danos mob with my friends, and there was this one guy semi-idling. After few mins he started to yell "go away" etc.

So much about arti sharing. Ppl are just plain greedy.

which is why i always price any arties i farm for (always between 3am-7am so as not to take from normal players) at WELL below the lowest price i find.. the same goes for scrolls.. think i sold a Full Louka's Journal for 1p.. saved someone 3-4p on that alone...(only charged 1p cos it took me 6hrs to get 3of3) i dont usually farm for cash, just to give poorer players an option to buy below the ridiculously over priced greedy fuks we have on this server.. i mean ffs some dikhead is charging 2p for a Belt of Moon.. so i price mine at 400g usually... hopefully once people see that im selling daily on 400g theyll lower theyre prices and we all benefit.. then i can lower it further..

i mean i even helped some dude get Belt of sun today and kalares necky.. lvl 41 so figured he could use the help.. its those people that suffer the most.. its all well and good saying wait to lvl 50.. but tbh it sucks levelling 40-50 and with a few arties its slightly more interesting.. but with scroll prices ridiculously high for some they dont even stand a chance... i just wish people could get it thru theyre thick fucking heads.. that greed isnt the way to build a good realm.. all you do is fence yourself off with all your plats... and for what? so you can log on and count it? whats the point of having huge amounts of plat.. theres only so much you can buy..

hehe aye i used to get funny looks using my cabbie epic armor.. but stupid thing was i was capped on INT/CON/DEX/Hits and 5 Resists.. so i wasnt that bad..
