Hi,

I have finally ordered the gold pack after being so close a couple of times before ;)

I just need some starting advice. Which server and realm needs me the most!!

Whats a good fun noob class to play to get me through the lower levels as I feel I may be on my own till lvl 20.

Anyone else just started who wants to group up let me know. I hope to be on by the weekend but my order has been sat at processing all day :(

How far long after catacombs comes out in the states will we get it??

BTW I have been reading some posts about the numbers droping to only 2000 ppl at certains time....try playing on AC2 Dawnsong with 400 ppl max lol

Cheers

Hibbies/prydwen need you most. problem is, their player count is very low, so its more differcult to get to 50 in a group.

middies/prydwen is prolly most fun.
I used to play albs, they are considerbly more populated then both other realms, mainly cause they offer more types of chars then others.. untill the new expantion catacombs comes out!

if u come alb/pryd... we have lots of people and some easy peasy classes to play. but more to the point if u do come alb pryd give me a pm on here and i will happily start a new char.. probly to support urs depending on which u choose from lvl 1 and lvl it up with u if u want some company.
the tomb of mithra has been calling me bck...
but yeah hib/pryd is most underpopulated atm poor guys... the number of tiems i considered gettinga 2nd accoutn and lvling a char there just to go thid and kill the many many albs that are in there. :p anyway not a bg section.
imo clipz go to http://camelot-europe.goa.com/en/ have a look @ all the dif races and classes and pick 1 u think sounds kool.
if u want advice on choosing a char e.g. which is easiest to lvl which is better for grps / solo just ask mate.
i dont know alot but happy to tell u wht i do.
quick note is that if u dont know already the stealth classes are usually the hardest to lvl but can be the best in rvr.

I downloaded the big quicktime movie of NF and all I can say is wow!!! why havent I brought this game sooner.

Now all I need is the game before the weekend!!!!

he he. all i can say is dont make the mistake i did.
my 1st ever char was a scout on alb/pryd... fantastic fun rvr but takes sooo long to lvl. took me 4ever to get to lvl 16 (also arrows cost alot @ lowr lvls for nice 1s) and @ that point i gave up on him... i rolled a new char... i took inspiration from the 1st guy i ever met in game who was pretty new himself he had bought me my 1st set of armor so i chose his class.... the almighty Paladin! RAWR. pally ftw imo. great grpers and can handle themselves solo with the right specc.

Lakashnik - the 2h pally untill lvl 46 then was forced to respecc to s/s much better for pve but doesnt look as kool :(

Thanks for the comments so far....still deciding on class at the mo. Game was shipped today so fingers crossed for the weekend!!!

Any other noob tips are most welcome :)

That people run with more people in the realm versus realm zones, so it's more crowded there. It will be hard to find decent full group versus full group combat on excal, zergs are like 3-4 full groups running around together...

Bestest of best luck. Prydwen should be the server u join though. Less players, less whining :p

OK played a Disciple > Necro and Fighter > Paladin upto lvl 4 each. I enjoyed Fighter/Paladin more but at these low lvls its hard to tell.

Which one out of the two are better for RvR. I don't want to get there to find out no one wants me in their group :)

Also is it normal to go link dead all the time in Camelot?

And last question....whats a good custom UI with maps to use? I like it clean and simple not to much artwork.

So far so good but Camelot could do with some graphic update love ;)

Paladin pwn.
Necro are easiest to lvl solo as they are big solo chars altho paladins arent to hard to lvl either.. and @ lvl 40+ every1 wants 1 in their groups untill 50 cos of their amazing abilities to absorb amounts of dmg better than most chars.
although neither are big RvR.
Not many Necro play RvR they are mostly used to farm for money etc or to get a lvl 50.
Altho Paladins do play RvR they arent best suited for it. and with NF coming up most melee classes gonna get beat up bad imo. the focus of it is going to be on ranged and stealth classes, although the fighter classes will ofc be needed for various tasks.
also did u go on prydwen of excal?

and for the LD in camelot... i used to... but hey i dont go LD much anymore.

I'm on Excal at the mo but I'm really writing off any toons I make over the next few days until I decided what to play. Has Pryd got good RvR with the moddest numbers it has? It would be good to lvl with you as it gets a little lonely on Excal on my own :)

So its best to lvl Paladin or Necro to 50 then use the lvl cmd to start my RvR toon?

I have always wanted to play a ranged toon but somehow I always end up a melee class. Would it be to much to lvl a ranged toon for a first character?

I appricate all the help guys :)

depends which 1.. im no expert on high lvl RvR tbh just what i have heard mainly not had that much experience but hey.
but as for lvling ranged chars are all casters cept for scouts... scouts notoriously hard to lvl as are all stealthers. but most casters are pretty easy to lvl once u get to grips with them, ofc depending on how u spec aswell. also the main point being most chars are better off lvling in grps whenever possible. not always true but most of the time.
But if u do wanna make a caster i be happy to make a figher/tank for the duo style. i take the dmg u and u deal it right bck.
depending on which caster u go for ofc.
lol it seems im using the depending word quite often. imo if u wanna try a ranged char try 1 out and see if u like it. if u do go with it.

And wouldnt necessarily its best to lvl a pally or necro to 50 and start ur RvR toon @ 20 although its all upto u. there are other chars that are always wanted like clerics. but healers arent as popular as other chars to be played. Some people like em some dont also some like me :( suck @ healing people.
anyway im drivveling on. and if anybody else with more experiance wants to correct me on something or give him advice think it be better than me as i been going 6months and am still learning new things about the game :) gotta love DAoC
