Necros in RvR

To all the cheating Alb Necros at Nottmoor and Blendrake today, hiding their pets in the keep walls. This includes Iconnuu to name just one....

LOL I bet not one of them actually sees the pet in the keep or in the doors. Dude if they cheat make screeny and send proof to GOA. But as far as I have seen there were 5 standing inside the keep nuking middies at doors. For the fact you see em in walls might be more the lag then the actual mob.

Bug exploit :
Now, let's look at the recent discussions. The problem comes from the line of sight (LOS) of pets. In the current version pets can attack from range through solid objects. Players using pets normally, in a keep defence for example, and sending the pets through the doors are just playing their class normally, nothing wrong with that. Maybe it is not really fair play, but the issue will be fixed in a coming patch and there is no "bug" exploit in this case.

Unfortunally that is still "legal" in the game.
Annoying and a bit lame - yes, but still legal and a very used tactic ever since the day chanters entered the RvR scene.

It is just because Necros can't be damaged while having a pet that the bug is ever more troublesome now.

Please note the bit that says sending their pets THROUGH the doors, not INTO the wall which I believe is what the main case for argument here is, that pets were inside the wall, not coming through it or firing through it.

We all know an SM or Hunter pet if its master is hit will track the target through walls and get inside keeps, but once inside they are toast. A pet inside a wall isn't targetable as far as I'm aware and I think this is the complaint.

Personally I didn't see anyone doing this and I think the necros were about the only Albie class I didn't get splatted by, think my most number of deaths was the bloody Cabbie AoE DoT (ouch).

Still was good fun til the lag monster caught up with the zerg monster on both sides and as someone else has mentioned elsewhere - What happened to all the Hibbies?

Saox had his pet in the wall at some point. Got a screeny but it just shows a necro floating around in shade form, nothing conclusive.

thing is, in effect they are putting the mobs in a place where they cant be killed, like 2nd floor etc etc. yes technically they can be killed by 50sbs that all PA it and jump ship, but thats damn easy to avoid.


bottom line, its technically legal, but its lame as fucking hell, hope you enjoyed it aarion, and i hope you go to mmorpg hell after 1.60. Well, actually you do, with all the bugs the necros are having, and now los being fixed.. mmmmm makes me all warm&fussy

yesh its VERY easy to make an documentary about los abuseing necros with screens, when you got 150 albs in nottmor and 150 midds outside.. lol (5 - 10sec lagg etc...)

AoE DoT is freaking lamest thing in the whole game. It's the biggest overpowered ability in those zerg wars. With maxed int and some RA's you help decimate whole zergs in a few casts. With the lag, lagghosts get targetted and casted upon without real LoS and it's far more devastating then those simple necro nukes.

No, Necros will notice that they cant abuse LoS anymore but!
by then their main chars will be boofed
and necros still own in PvE

Thats not quite true, Necros I understand get screwed with the LoS issues, apparently since mythic all have chanters the LoS code for those characters are so deeply embeded they'll never be able to fix it... ah welll..

But seriously I think only Necros get a LoS change next big patch
