Those screenshots prove absolutely nothing - apart from the fact that you were with a bunch of folks who know nothing about a necromancer - since they were trying to attack the shade.

Where was the necromancers pet? Somewhere you could target it and attack it? Im guessing from the pics that it was in the river and you just hadnt looked

Unless the necro had found a bug letting him put the pet inside a wall/tree/whatever hes doing nothing wrong.

The pet is inside the pillar. It is not visible hence its not possible to take a screenshot of it. Neither is it possible to target it. Ask yourself this, is it likley that none of all those mids standing there have discoverd the use of the autotarget function, and hence would have used it to target the pet? No, not very likley. If you are doubting this exploit i recomend that you take your alts for some bg action and see for your self, it is very common. About half an hour after he died we had another necro doing the same thing in the same spot.

The Necro achives immortality when we cant hit his pet, and he is free to kill as much as his mana allows, id call that an exploit.

I dont know how Soeders was able to hit him. But no one else was, not even /assist Soeders worked.

The fact is though that he did die eventually, his pet was hittable by tanks and any from of Area Effect spell would hit the pet aswell.

I'm not saying it wasn't incredibly pathetic to do but he was killable and so was not, in GOA or Mythics eyes, exploiting any bugs.

Not true, he was not hittable by tanks, Soeders, who is a healer managed to hit it somehow, i dont know how, maybe the pet moved for an instance and he was able to target it, or maybe it was just luck. But, it was a human playing the necro, and even tough a bad person, not completly retarded. So he targeted soeders and the sm that eventualy came, making it very difficult to kill the pet. But he did die eventualy.

And even if he is killable, he is only killable by classes with access to ae spells, which i still would call an exploit.

doesn't matter if you attach screenies to prove a bugg abuse or so. GOA will check exacly what happened at the given place and time anyway and judge by that.

LoS = line of sight, through a bridge, is not LoS. If you can't see it, your not supposed to be able to nuke it.

you guys fucking stupid or sommat. The shade hid his pet in the wall, making it hard to hit. It is bug abusing imo. If it was on the wall then sure but it is bug abusing imo as ranged characters - mages, etc cannot hit the pet with spells because it cannot be seen.

Ban him I say and ban all the others who do this bug too

He was probably attacking Soeders, and got autotarget.

Anyway, the guy is an arse, he intended to put his pet inside the pillar but it is killable and so is not bug abusing. At the moment abusing LoS problems is not bug abusing as officially stated.

Abuse or not i had the same thing done to me,now im a hunter,how am i sposed to shoot the damm pet when its tucked up with coco and cookies inside the pillar?
And i do know the auto target button but even targetted i drew the shot back but got told "YOU CANNOT SEE YOUR TARGET"
Kinda hard to win then really and the necro killed me in a few spells time,he just sat ontop of the bridge pillar oppsite to the one his pet was hidden in.
IMO kinda ruins the game,but hey so b it,theres always star wars galaxies to look 4ward to

Yes they are annoying, yes its unfair and yes by all means post here with names so that they can be publically shamed but for most cases they wont get banned because of stupid LoS issues. Lets just wait for the next patch when LoS is all fixed...

two things to say here

1) If the necro pet was hidden in that pillar, or even trying to hide in the pillar - that was bug abuse - as explicitly stated by Mythic. You don't get absolved from the penalties for bug abuse for being crap at cheating - you just get extra ridicule heaped upon you.

2) The blatant abuse of the lack of LoS needed to target people is currently ruining RvR and pissing off alot of people. This is not bug abuse - it is technically known as lameness - but it is causing a lot of bad feeling towards the necro class. (ie I jump down from the wall in a keep to the inside and carry on getting nuked even tho' there is no LoS until I manage to run all the way to the inside of the inner keep).

This is resolved in the next patch where Necros will need 3-way line of sight: target-pet-necro this seems a bit harsh, but I wont be weeping.

Its not often I take glee in seeing another class nerfed but in this case I will be jumping for joy when they swing that nerf bat at the necros. I seriously cannot wait - a properly used necro currently is a keep taking machine and should, when used to the extent of their current functionality, make keep defence impossible.

e.g. last night in Thidranki when after PBAoE repelled the first wave of albs, they pulled their collective fingers out and used Necros to destroy the SMs. Next patch they will have to use GT, GT assist and GTAoE from other classes and the necro will be equally useful (in making the initial GT), but will require some thought to play so might not be so successful)

here you have my standing point. as i was there myself, i know that this WAS bug abusing etc etc.
i've also got my own screenies with locations too, that should be proof enough for GOA afaik.

its an oldest bg bug.
I think most ppl know how to get into the bridge.
All u do is just jump near the connection between stone and bridge adn when u get stuck u just slide in between teh texture.
I reported it to goa ages ago when i fell into it firstly by accident and as i can see nothing is being done about it, they should fix the texture fault imo before banning ppl.
