So glad I bought 8 x 2tb drives for around 60 quid each now!

Sales guy in work is laughing his arse off. His customer wants to return 500 2TB disks that cost us £40 each so as well as getting a restocking fee he will make at least double on each of them :)

I don't think so when we send stuff back to distribution we pay a handling fee. I do not know if its different rules for resellers vs consumers.

Am now running 8.0.3 without any problems. Looking forward to 8.2 with an updated ZFS pool :)

8.0.3 for me introduced a pain in the backside that the network interface may or may not allow internet related commands at seemingly random (needs the interface to be taken down and brought up to get rid of) from the command line. Other than that it's a lot faster.

Working at the moment on doing a build that includes Serviio/Java built directly into it because I hate having to add stuff into FreeNAS by bashing away at the command line as supposed to doing a subversion update and then running the build command.

I wouldn't T. I've been reading up on his stuff. No way back if he borks his stuff. I've put in Multimedia build and it's much better.

It is my spare NAS. Plus I want to play with ZFS 28. What's the URL to the MM build?

8.0.3 Multimedia

I've got this running at the moment, it's far easier to get Transmission, etc. running on it and I've got a working Serviio server running and it was just a few command line package installs.
