n00b guilds...

Just thought I'd take the time to express my views about a certain guild, because as it stands this is the only way i'm gonna get a comlplaint in. Considering the fact that one of this guild's officers told me that he couldn't give out his guild leaders name...

So Heart & Soul, this is how it stands, 1 of your members decides that it would be nice to repeatedly leech from me with my lil kobold warrior, makes no apologies about it and then tells me THEY are the guild leader, True or not, I don't know, judging from the behaviour of other members i'm less inclined to believe this.
I'm sorry but why should any guild refuse to give out it guild leaders name?? In my opinion you guys are a poor showing of what Excalibur has to offer.
I am als a guild officer and it is my responsibility to make sure any complaints are dealt with, or if it's the case, to give pass them on to the guild leader, it's not a hard job... See if you can get it right

So from one encounter with a member of my guild you make a statment that we are all newbs.

The fact that the person you are complaining about wasnt lying to you and was infact one of the guildleaders(her alt) and that your attutide toward her from the start wasnt what you would call friendly why would she want to listen to you.

Ask anyone whos grouped with a member of Heart & Soul or with the person in question to come here and complain and i bet there wont be many if any at all.

So instead of doing /who heart & soul and asking for a officers name you come here and bad mouth us to all.

Well maybe you will be so good as to name your guild or pm me so i can talk to your guildleader?.

With regard to your recent post,

It was I who you abused, it disturbs me that you have to come on to a forum and bad mouth my guild. You did not have the maturity to respond to what I was telling you at the time.
You asked me who the guild leader was and I told you it was me, in between the abuse that you let flow.

Now, if you treat someone with respect especially me, you will get the same in return. As for running up and spouting abuse what would you expect back. If you would like proof on the way in which you spoke to me I can post the chat log for all too see. In all the time I have been playing daoc (in which you acuse me of being a newb) from beta to present I have never encounted such abuse from any other player. I do not abuse anyone and would like to point out that I am a very fair player. If you want to have a go at me then make the post specific to me not my guild. And see what response you get from other players and all who know me.

Please in future get your facts straight before flaming me on the forum.

I've grouped with quite a few of the Heart and Soul guild (roundabout the 20s mark) with my zerker, and my shaman, and both times, always had a good laugh, and been easy to get on with,

Ok, admittedly I was ticked off at you, and fair play, I got angry. But why oh why would a level 41 character, and a guild officer at that refuse to tell me their guildleaders name??
I've got no problem apologising for getting mad, but i'm afraid to say, your guild officer reflected badly upon you.
I will be perfectly honest and say you caught me at a bad time, and with some current issues going on in game, i'm a touch to easy to piss off... But perhaps the whole incident could have been deflected if u had simply apologised on the first mob instead of saying "I don't see your name on it"....

To show that I have never had abuse just goes to prove what kind of player I am.

And to say if you call that abuse then I've lived a sheltered life, just proves the kind of player you are, if you receive abuse on a regular basis. At least that is the impression you are giving out. Forgive me if I have misunderstood your point, but that is what it looks like.

This is a game, for which we all pay for the privelage. There are thousands of mobs to kill. I am a hunter and it takes 7 seconds at present to do a critical shot, during which time anyone can hit the mob. So if we say, you hit the mob first I could say I have had it targetted for 7 seconds before you hit it, now whos kill is it?

If I have been standing there targeting for 7 seconds i'm gonna release my shot and keep on firing. I do not target anything that has already been hit, it was just unfortunate that we targetted the same mob. Just one of them things, is there really any need to get so anoyed about it? and come running up to me saying its my kill. I can assure you if you had hit after I had shot I would thank you for helping me out, but then thats me and the way I am.

ok 3 things;

1. plz post log as you said you where willing and able to do. Show the world this extensive abuse...

2. It happened twice in a row, neither time I got an apology.

3. Lorric, it was you who I pm'd asking for the guild leaders name. If you had told me instead of saying, and I quote "sorry m8 but i can't just give out names..". Then this whole thing would have been avoided.

well i joined heart & soul a few days ago coming from a different server i have found this the most friendliest guild i've met.. rhia and lorric are probably the 2 of the nicest ppl i have also had the pleasure to meet.

a few days ago, a group of people pulled a mob i had already begun to cast on

i hit the mob for more damage, so it came to me, but the group still kept on attacking it

i said nothing, attacked a new mob, they attacked another

end of story


with my alt, i once had 2 mobs under control, but another group thought i needed help and took it down for me

i said nothing, moved to my next mob, and played on




did it piss me off?
no

did it piss them off?
no

did it ruin my daoc life?
no

did it waste an entire days worth of playing?
no



time to take a break and re-evaluate how much you take this game to heart

And just a little point to clear this up, I tried doing a /who heart & soul, to talk to an officer because I was pissed off and I found that no-one would tell me an officer's name...
But I will go as far as to say several things...

1. I apologise to Heart & Soul for calling this thread n00b guilds, even tho I wasn't refering to you as a whole, it certainly looks like I was.

2. Once again i'll apologise for getting mad.

3. If anyone else like catjinia, with too much free time and not enough social attention, wishes to make a half assed comment to me, PM me in game. You wasted several seconds of my life making me read your post...

4. Please post the chat log. 3rd time in asking and I don't get a reply..

5. Tzeentch, ask anyone who knows me and the'll tell you i'm an easy guy to get alng with and a hard guy to piss off... Most of the time. You are right it wasn't cause to get pissed off like I did, but surely even a simple "sry" and we would have all been happier.

I totaly agree with joreth on the point that the "leecher" could just have said sorry and not kept on leeching... even if u did not get many points for it u still steal some points for joreth and if this game was about that if would not have statements about it in Code of Conduct

and i am not saying that i disslike any <Heart & Soul> members or any other player for that matter.... anyone who even touches another players mob destroys the XP for the puller, and if the mob is grey to the "leecher" the one pulling the mob might end up with no XP at all... and as u all might know 0 XP = no lvls and no lvls = never going getting to help in RvR...

Uhm, why would you try to leach xp off a grey mob?
One u can kill it yourself easy, two u get no xp so destroys the whole point of leaching, doesn't it? Or am i missing something? (i usually do )


Also, someone pulls same mob as me i laugh. It's funny, laugh people. It worries me when people get so wound up over a game. I would recommend a break from daoc for anyone who does preferably involving a lot of alcohol. Chill, relax, enjoy. It annoys u, turn it off.

I put the word Leecher in quotes just to point out that it was not leeching on a grey mob just destrying the xp for the puller, asuming that is should have given XP to the puller if noone else had hit it.. I just ment that there are ppl that like to show off (not meaning anyone or any guild mentioned in this thread) that they can kill some mobs bye onehitting them... not that this was the situation here .... so i think i missed my point but no hard feelings (if are a middie that is)
