He may have his opinion, and even a point, but he shouldn't make ministerial decisions based on personal beliefs. They should be made based on his party's policies, which are how they got elected to begin with.

There have been plenty of examples where a minister's personal beliefs have clashed with their public policies: Ruth Kelly and abortion for example.

The man is an idiot, and the sad thing is he's not even among our worst MPs.

Another thing that irks me about this "save the planet, save the environment" bullmalarky is that nature always finds a way. Has for millions of years now.

There's been species, species have gone extinct, yet here comes Mr H.S. Sapiens and pisses all over the natural way of things. Pandas are a prime example.
