Well, with 5.6 spd sword, 68 sword, 10% melee bonus my cap is 486 dmg. This would cap out at 972 dmg, and with maximum dmg of 1457 dmg, for zerkers it would be 1943 dmg.

However, unstyled attacks are alot easier to block, and savages wich mainly use 1.4x GR styles wont gian so much from it (also loose stuns). This ability would not be overpowred vs a propper grp who has bodyguard/guard.

Frontiers (1.70) is not even in open beta yet, so id forget panicing or making huge statements yet. Whats point.

they open it tomorrow ive heard ;) but still most abilitys will be nerfed before we get them :eek:

Yep :) my post was not directed at u btw .. just @ whole thread.

Can't see point in huge debate "OMFG MATES NERF" etc when its no where near live in usa. No way will mythic let all class's do that damage.

Main problem is Mythic is developing based on US experience where, it seems to me, they need i win button to finish off quicker large zergs, erm WTF i mean 2000 dmg per second on paper? either from casters or tank perspective doesn't make difference: this game becoming more and more the more dmg in 1st 3 sec i can deal = i won ... not fun that is imo

tbh if they are planning to up caster damage like that, they should first of all revome all types of +castspeed and +dex buffs. So the cast time really is 2.8 sec or whatever.

You seriously need to play a caster in RvR if you think 2.8s a cast is fine.

Try a Runie or SM with no dex buff, no dex on your gear, no Mastery of the Art, no +cast speed, and we talk.

4x600-700 without crits with dps buff not nasty?

Zerks/mercs/bm hitting 400s unstyled each hand with it, this RA has no mention of a nerf yet but it probably will get nerfed before we get frontiers, i hope some of the others do too...

Still think they cast too fast. Never said anything about +dex on armour tho.

If you assist nuke the castspeed matters alot. It's like facing 4 prenerf zerks at once. Impossible to keep anyone alive etc.

not compared to the caster RA's no :) tank dmg is the least im gonna worry about in new frontier as a support class.. its the casters im really gonna fear...

same goes for a good tank grp assisting. whats ur point? keep having casters useless in rvr?

as someone said. u need to play a caster before thinking u know the class :)

casting to fast?? i cant imagine u complaining if a healer in ur grp have red celerity...... if ur gonna nerf mages castingspeed u need to nerf celerity and every damned haste buff in the game... "coz u hit to fast" geez :twak:

have you ever tried to keep alive a caster atm from one savage that is good geared and high RR? :)

I get 2-3shotted pretty much all the time atm. Thats 1.5-3 seconds. Then put 2 savages on assist and its instadeath to 1.5s.

What on earth are you crying about? :) And if 3 casters are assistnuking and stuff doesnt die fast, mind if I ask you wtf you except casters to do? Nuke once and then die or stand like a goon in the aoespams until we die or cast for a short while moc is up once every 30mins?

Seems to me that you simply dont have a single clue about how it actually is to play atm, either kill uberfast, or get killed uberfast, be it tanks (mids mainly) or casters, doesnt really matter.

I agree that maybe the damages has gone thru the roof in DAoC but tbh, it doesnt only apply to casters as you seem to think.

if 30 ppl is so stupid that NOBODY purge and either mez or slam or do something, then they deserve to get their ass whooped tbh. Most people just seem to panic and start to hit on moccing PBAERS, guess wot, that dont help, you just die then.

and nope, pressing moc+sprint+pbae inside tons of enemies aint really skilled. Never claimed that and never will, but it sure as hell is fun to see ppl spread like little burning bee's.

bodyguard is a bitch for tanks yep.. grapple isnt as bad anymore since the one that take you out also get stunned. One for one is a fair deal tbh.

I thought you meant that your actual damage had gone down for some reason.

enemy AF is higher due to bonus's so dmg is down there. Ok not alot but still a bit :)

I refuse to accept the fact that a caster can take away 2k HPs in 6sec. :< Not even that much. 4 maybe.

You gotta be kidding... Svgs have been able to do that for quite a few patches alrdy.
