Well its only a few hours away. I watched Minority Report last night to get in the mood. I've had people tell me its painful but what the heck , the worse they can do is blind me.

Nice, now I'm saving all the GPK cards because you reminded me about them :)

Can you put them all in a zip file and post a link?

Please. Thanks! :)

Which is actually quite bad, but good luck anyway!

If you're interested, this site is the only one I found which has all the cards on it.

Providing that link may turn out to be a bad idea.....

gl with the op, I had proper surgery, it was bloody painful for a few days.

It's ok now, I just have to wash it when it falls out.

Man was that painful or what....

Not the laser bit, but the anaestetic eye drops they used

The recovery is painful though. I cant really read what Im writing here.but it feels like having grit in your eye 24/7. I am only just starting to see a bit more clearly today (4 dyas after treatment) and it looks like it'll be okay in a few more days. Dont know how people can say they had it done and they could see straight away. Maybe they had bandage contact lenses? I'll let you know if it doesnt improve.

Glad to hear you're doing ok dudeh. Damn straight about the eye drops :) The instant improvement for peeps like me is a combination of age & having really piss poor vision beforehand. How are you finding the daily eye drop combination btw?

Be sure & take it easy fella & stay the f'k away from the PC & TV, radio is your friend for the next week!

I need to get my eyes tested really.

Stuff is blurry at distances I'm pretty sure I should be able to read clearly. I've kinda been kidding myself that its not a problem (and it isnt with driving, at least not at the moment) and have even - from time to time - stood outside at work and tried "stretching my eyes" by focusing on distant objects.

I keep forgetting to do this though, and I doubt it actually does anything either (besides give me a false sense of security).

I think I'll look into this laser eye treatment malarky within the next 6 months or so.

How much was it if you dont mind me asking?

Mine worked out at just under 3k iirc but I had it done at the Moorfields eye hospital in London. You can as has been mentioned get it done at places like Boots these days. It's becoming one of those "in" trends, like "3 for 2 deal on asperin, deoderant & laser eye surgery"

Anyway, best way to find out is to go to Boots for your eye test (they should only be £20) and then ask for the info matey.

Or use this handy website (*doh*) http://www.bootsopticianslasik.co.uk
