Hi guys, i require your assistance yet again.

So i've recently moved rooms, into a bigger bedroom. My mum tried getting my 7 year old brother a double bed, whilest i slept in a single bed in a shitty little room. Fat chance!!

So i've moved into this beauty. Nice big bed, room is perfic!

The only thing is that in my old room, Joe my step dad installed a wall-mount AND ariel through the ceiling.

Now the ariel in this new room is at the other side, where my bed is which is useless to me as i want it opposite my bed.

I'll be frank. I can't install no ariel through a ceiling. I can't drill no holes in the roof etc. But i CAN install a wall mount :p

All im asking is....Can i get an ariel without having to drill things and install stuffs? My dad mentioned a digital tv receiver. Can anybody shine some light on this? How is the signal, picture quality and overall service of these?

Thanks guys. Hope you're all well!

How about an aerial extender that goes into the wall mount and run along the wall to the TV (or even a longer cable)

Failing that get a power aerial

Yep, an extension cable, about £5 on ebay. Its nothing fancy just two insulated copper wires, so long as neither are touching it be fine.

That counts for either sky, cable or a standard aerial.

yeah what they said lol you just need a length of cable and the connectors and you can make your own lead to the correct length...I used to do it all the time when I worked in a TV shop so tbh if I can do it it's dead easy.

thanks chaps.

The ariel extension, just plugs into my ariel at the other end of the room then run it under the carpet up the wall into my tele?

I wouldn't even bother with ebay laddey, coaxial cable is cheap as chips to buy pre-terminated if you go to an electrical wholesaler or trade shed.

well you could run in under the carpet but I usually just tack it to the wall along the edge of the room with those little deelis you use to hold phonelines in place, you know the ones with nails and little plastic hooks to hold cable?

You will end up with a lump in the carpet unless you buy a flat one which are more expensive.

Grab the cable and give it a good yank until it comes away...

You don't want to go near the bean with pliers, that won't end well.

nonono I believe according to the FHOT 'pics or it didn't happen' paradigm if photographic evidence is not supplied then in the eyes of the FH residential committee the event, whether it actually happened or not, did not happen.

..so I could do some really mighty mischievious things and as long as I do not get photographed doing them will be able to maintain a clear and virtuous mind and my general innocent and angelic character.

Last time I bought coaxial cable it was like £10 for 90 feet of the stuff.
