should go pretty quick, but m8, 2l 16v is more than enough, ya likely to go slower with the turbo because of loss of traction

just whack throttle bodies on the 2 litre, and then itll be controllable power, and nuff of it

He'l only have problems with traction in lower gears, 3rd and 4th should be great, to really sort it you could use an apexi boost controller which can set a curtain amount of boost in each gear this would make the car much more controlable .
The engines about 220Bhp isnt it ? hope you got good brakes :D

fuck off u tit

can't have a dump valve on throttle boddies :) And do u know how much they cost

Anyways turbo's are more fun, and durzels car is heavy anyway so wont have as much of a problem with traction :)

O yeh frankie, dicko is getting a kit for his car taking it to 180BHP!!!!!!!!!!! omg.. getting it quite soon too :) Shud be fuckin rapid with it only being a 1600 16v.

According to the manufacturer specs. the Mk2 Astra 8v weighs in at 1000-1100kg (varies on diff spec sheets). The 16v is 50-100kg more. The Calibra is nearly 1400kg - which should give you an idea as to how fast an Astra would be with a Calibra engine (assuming it can stay on the road without 4x4)

My car already does 0-60 in the mid/low 7's (chipped and Dyno-tuned) so I would probably be expecting to get low 5's from a Calibra Turbo engine - especially as I wont have air con and a beafy 4x4 gearbox to sap power from the engine.

Well you need ~150BHP to do 60 in 7.4 like the 156BHP 16v MK2 GTE...

And I very much doubt a std engine with 204BHP in a FWD car will do 60 in under 5.5 seconds m8 :) Too little traction. You could try though :) And once it got going it'd be supa fast.
