I have a 'special edition' T10, it's special because it has a glued on spice girls sticker and the back is spray painted orange. Limited edition (lie) and all that.

Bloody hell ordering online is a Pain, or more like ordering using HSBC is a Pain, Failed the credit check the first time round, although i used a platinum card!!!

So in the end resorted to ringing them up, and sorting it out.

No all i have to do is goto bed and wake up to recieve my order, God i love getting gagets in the post.

Managed to get my grubby mitts on a 8210 ;) with a horrible
brown fascia mind

One new key pad later, I'm still trying to get to grips with it
How do you get logos on the phone ?
lol.. got my area dailing code(0121) on there by accident.
I've downloaded the manual, but there's nothing in there that helps.

And..

Will the 8310 fascias work on mine ? they aer good

Thanks

no 8310 fascia's will not work.

I prefer BLUE, not seen any for sale tho

Suppose when you get over the shock of having a brown fasica, it does seem a lighter gold brown :D

The 7650 is a fantastic phone/camera/thing, but it's quite big (and twice as heavy as the 7210) and I'm scared to think how much it would cost without a contract. :(

Depending on how much it is, it'll either be that one or the 7210 I go for.

8210 - Dimensions: 101.5 x 44.5 x 17.4 mm, 66 cc
7210 - Dimensions: 106 x 45 x 17.5 mm
7650 - Dimensions: 114 x 56 x 26 mm

Only 1cm larger than the 8210 and 7210 in each dimension. Pretty small on paper, but the dummy phones are MASSIVE. Will have to wait and see what the retail product looks like in the flesh

Any idea how much the 7650 will retail for Perp?

What will be the price of the Nokia 7210?
The price will be somewhat higher than the initial price of the Nokia 8310 when it first came to market, and may vary slightly from market to market.
That's not very comforting, seeing as how the 8310 is £299.99. :(

8210 - 79 g
7210 - 83 g
7650 - 154 g

Aye, weight is high - but again, will wait to see the retail product in the flesh before I pass judgement :) And yes, it's going to be painfully expensive - sim free on ebay they are selling for between £600 and £1000 atm

I'm guessing about 200 on contract

Wow, that is a pretty high price for a mobile. Just saw £360 on ebay with just under 2 days left...

I think I want a 7210 though, we're in the 3rd quarter... it shouldn't be much longer now... :)

/Edit/ - Happy, um, Deityness. :)

Never take mobile sales on ebay where the seller has a 0 rating as serious - it's a scam :) Know 2 people to have been ripped off by 0 rating mobile sellers. Look at the prices on the sellers of 7650's with an actual rating - 600£+ because they actually have something to sell ;)

dude

i'm sure your very proud of ur new phone and all that, it is indeed lovely. but. several buts actually....

screensaver : nice battery killer that....

bluetooth : which your going to use for WHAT?

voice activation : possibly handy... but have you ever seen anyone use it? there's a reason why... it a) doesn't work when your pissed, and b) have you SEEN the looks people give you if you scream "girlfriend!" at your phone... and it goes "command not recognised, please try again" - "Girlfriend!"... repeat to fade.

tri-band : data's got a first flight T68 took it to the states.... totally patchy... didn't work at all where he wanted it too, apparently only worked in one place.... v. useful.

anyway - 7210 = v. perty, but you seen the keypad design? wouldn't like to text on that.... 8910.... now THAT's the daddy (same goes for the keypad on that though, which is worse still).

The keypad on the 7210 is... interesting. It would take some getting used to, but I don't think that it'd be a problem. It took a while to take the step from the big 6110 to the 8210 with it's ickle keys, but it was second nature within a week or two. :)

well

i suppose it's not gonna be uber difficult given that nokia are THE usability experts when it comes to mobile phones, and i don't think they'd come up with such a design unless it was practical...

nevertheless though, when ya send as many texts as i do, and ya developed such a blistering pace in doing it, ya don't really wanna change ur keypad design at all.

screensaver : last a few secs then screen turns off apart from a clock

bluetooth : Have No idea, but it sounds good

voice activation : Voices activation on this phone seems to work really well, and you dont have to shout, just hold down the side button and wait for the beep, then say the name

also am impress with the predictive text input, also remebers names etc that you put in, which is nice
