It was either £249.99 or £299.99 on Vodafone.

I saw a 7650 last week and the nokia representative was very edgy about letting people play with it, from what I gather the codebase for the firmware is identical to the basis of the 9210i, and we all know what a bugged heap of crap that was.... heh

As to it's thickness even chunky handsets like the 3330 come in around 22mm, the extra 4mm on the 7650 is quite noticeable... holding the phone it's reassuringly solid but the proportions are a bit out imo - it's half as thick as it is wide, so when the keypad is closed it's not all that comfy in the hand... nokia already have a pop-port camera for the 7210 in the pipeline so it might be worth holding off and seeing how that shapes up, at the mo it looks like it could knock the stripes off the 7650.

on the note of pricing, Orange reckon £349.99-£399.99, Vodafone Direct quote £329.99 and T-Mobile/02 say they won't touch it til the next quarter, more mumbles as to not being satisfied with the products software...

Bodhi's right about the 7110, to this day I'm still looking for a spotless simfree 7110, aside from a couple of dodgy wap problems they're gr8...

7210's are going to rock, but last I heard Nokia were having problems with some of the components needed for polyphonic ringtone reproduction which means the soonest we'll see 'em will be end september apparently... no major loss - they've been advertised for six months already, an extra 4 weeks won't hurt :)

didn't know that for only £20 on the £179.99 i could get the communicam with my phone, so im gonna ring up and ask whether i would have to send my phone back and buy the package again, which would be a pain. Or if they would be nice and just add £20 on top of my first payment and send it to me separatly

Can't find anything about that one, although there are some very fancy phones on their japan website. Not that that's much help at all.

I went into a phone shop today to upgrade my 7110. I went in planning on having either a T68 or an 8310. 100 quid for an 8310, 120 for a T68, but was advised to avoid the T68 for a while so Ericsson could work the bugs out of it (the T68i is better than the T68 apparently, but it still isnt perfect) so was advised to go for the 8310, as contrary to what I have heard Xavier say in the past (Xav talking shite? Never) I was informed that the 8310 is a bulletproof little phone. Done deal, I thought.

Then, in a remarkable display of customer service over salesmanship, I was advised to wait until September. By then, we'll have the 6310i (looks a very nice phone), 7210e (possibly), Samsung T100 and the 7650 will all be out, the 8310 and V70 will be cheaper and Ericsson might have finished programming the T68.

So it looks like ill wait and get a 6310 or an 8310. Not sure which yet tho. Not bad considering when I first went in I was after a 5210 or a Sony Z7 :)

wait until september?

why? don't they like you either?

6310i's been kicking around for aaages

java is pretty good on it too...

oh, and as to the T68/T68i with the latest firmware the phones are identical (check the RFC documents, they're the same hardware) and the latest T68i firmware sorts all the main issues, just one teeny problem with secure WAP now for e-banking - and that's more down to them having to be accomodating for poor code.

yeah, I took a T39m with me to the US last october for a week with the extended battery and didn't need the travel charger...

on that note a guy with us who brought a T68i had no end of signal problems even though we were both using pacbell, so if anyone is deliberating between the two and roams a lot it's worth bearing in mind!

I've had an 8310 for 9 months now, and am seriously considering getting a 7650. I might be put of by the size though -maybe the 8910 instead :)

Xav, I sold an 7110 in mint condition with box/charger/manual for £50 two months ago. There are loads about.

Jas: Just having a quick drink after work, darling, light of my life.
Girlfriend: Alright then snookums, send me a picture.
Jas: Hey, fuck you bitch, these pictures cost like 50p each to send!
Girlfriend: Fuck you too, you stingy bastard!
Jas: Jeez, get off my back, will you?
Girlfriend: Fine! It's over!
Jas: Fine!
