Well..
it started out pretty strange. My cat, which used to be rather heavy, suddenly lost her appetite. At first, I didn´t really think anything about it. She had a similar thing a couple of months ago. This time it wouldn´t go away though, so I took her to the vet. Now, she´s not "ill", she´s playful as always and doesn´t seem to suffer any pain. So the vet was quite puzzled and we decided to check her blood. Turned out that my cat has diabetes.
I briefly checked some internet sites and apparently it´s a pretty complex thing to do a therapy, especially since it´s virtually impossible to check the blood regulary in order to check the insulin dosis. Looks like I have to inject insulin on a daily basis now.
Does anyone here have any experience with animal diabetes?
