MSI, as much as I dislike them, have a new range of boards based on the P45 chipset, for example the P45D3 Platinum.
Might be worth looking at if you're not as fussed about the quality issues they've had as I am.
But, amusingly enough, I found the heatsink on the northbridge funny. Loop-de-loop heatpipes and now something that looks like someone was playing Jenga with random pieces of copper. Joy.
Certainly no fan of that backplate either, looks like something you might find on a budget board. This day and age they should be doing a lot better than that. Money better spent elsewhere :d
