hmm how to ask. if u put mp3 - wav n then put on cd writer cd, then..

curios how gud it sound compare to store bought cd? does it sound liek radio shit or is ok ok ?

Heh, nice Xmas avatar, the quality depends on the quality of the mp3s, converting to mp3 won't get you any extra info back so you're stuck with a cd sounding as good as the original mp3s.

I take it you are intending to borrow "for evaluation purpose" mp3s from the net and then want to be able to play these on a normal stereo, if that is the case then yes you will need to convert them to .wav first.

if the original mp3 was recorded at a decent quality i.e 192kbs then the .wavs should sound pretty much like a normal cd to untrained ears.

Converting an mp3 to wav is pretty simple. Download CDex (Open Source CD ripper) and there is an option in there to convert "compressed media" wave form audio.

Note that a lot of CD burning software will do the conversion for you as part of its processing.
