I still kinda regret deleting my mid/pryd chars from the good old days, my shadowzerk, how fun it was to hit infs for 400+ mh back then, and my runie hehe with the cool aoe spears, and my little kibbie savage quad hit4tehwin and my poor little bb.

That was in the past but gonna start mid again on US servers or Avalon still need to decide if i can be arsed to lvl from 1 and buy a second US account.

The question is tho, im gonna start all over again, well I need a shammie thats for sure, but what melee class or caster even can lvl the fastest with a shammie. I really dont mind what class it is, its just to get the shammie to 45+ so i can lvl the class i want later on.

Thx in advance

level 1-12 you get free armour anyway from the lowbie quests

Depends where you go, if you look for a EU mid guild that has been around for a little bit, they may help you!

Think Saruman's Hands are on Kay, Sleeping Dragons are on Boissiny with Terra Dominius.

Warrior all the way fs. :( Norse ofc!! teh r0x!
I never liked playing my valk in solo rvr, felt like the endurance just went poof each and every fight, get whatever you're fighting slammed and almost every time you had to use an end pot before starting to ragna. Dunno if its just me sucking but does not feel like that on meh warrior. :O

I'd have to suggest summoning spiritmaster. The lovely thing about focus pet classes is you pretty much only need a staff, so they cost very little to run. With a shaman bot they will level fast and can help get you money or drops later.

For duo leveling, i'd quess Valk or Mauler + BB would be the fastest.

if you have shammy to heal with its going to be savage or zerk if you want a tank..... but if you want somthing to level fast and get you some nice starting cash easily id say a BA BD, with new improvements they should be sick in PvE with the tank pets and double dots can pretty much farm non stop, Summ SM is also good but im not sure how well they can farm things anymore with the ML9 Nerf, plus that requires you getting ML9. Plus BA BD will do well in the battlegrounds to get you some RAs like mcl1 and wild minion to help you out in pve

Prob with summon SM is focus pulling pretty gimped till 40, when get decent focus shield, can use +PP drops etc.

Valk is OP at, what, 2x? When get DD proc style. Can't be that hard to blag a set of armour.

Its a bit of an odd question. An SB/Hunter leveling with a bb (the same level as itself) isn't exactly slow anymore.

The best class to roll for leveling (and later farming) is the SM. You don't need decent equipment because your pet will take all the damage. SM also get to charm a yellow con pet in 1.87 (in the darkness spec line) but you will also be able to get a damage shield to put on it (in the summ spec line). Even if you roll avalon you can choose between supp/summ both of which can level extremely quickly.

I have been hearing that the buffed ML9 sally with 40 dps focus shield on it is rather OP for farming.....

If you want a tank go for warrior, it has better defence and hits harder than a valk/Thane. You only get the decent procs for valk/thane at high levels and they are often positionals which are hard to get off when PvEing with just a bot.

Didnt find it gimped myself, well not all the time! - its just that the focus spells are at 22,30,40,50. So when your at l39 for eg it is a bit crap.

But would say if youve got no additional damage, then SM aint fastest, however, that said, if you still plan to play long term, you'd want an ml9 SM and shammie team as the base for getting stuff done, unless you got a good base of mates to help you out.

sword spec
lvl34 style, polar rift anytime style proc, uses up lots of end ( no worries shaman's end regen)
lvl50 style, ragnarok back style proc, low on end, 400 dd proc on yellow
valk can slam + 2-3 ragnarok = finishin off oranges fast n reds r not that hard
every 15 sec 300 heal pbaoe , i hardly ever used shaman to heal valk
w 50 sword 42 shield 36 mend 13 ow, i farmed all scrolls needed + 30 plats in co5 dungeon using epics + blade swadow ( lvl10 use ctd) just valk + bb

of course for farmin bosses + focusin 3-4 mobs together u have to lvl a sm , get all mls to 9 + grp steps and respecin 1-2 times

i have ml9 sm, warrior, valk.
the easiest farm is done by the ml9 pet just rippin apart mobs. but if u cba to lvl, ml etc a char u better get a valk or a thane.
valk has v nice heals but cant leech in rvr
thane, i dont have a thane, but while i duoed in pve a bit, thanes do the same dam, but can leech in rvr ^^
warrior, loads of resists but not enough fire power, i personally get bored till i kill the mob ( kobbie warrior ^^)

Have to say it - Shammy/end+SM/power=downtime.
As for zerger/sav they need good gear.
leaves BD and shield tanks - think we can rule out the BD...coz no matter what spec, it will still use power, like the thane, skald and valk. That leaves mauler and warriror. Mauler is so op it crying for a nerf, and u have to press to much(heheh) when lvling. Warriror ftw imo - good defence(chain) one- and twohand spec in the same line, parry, evade, blok.

Having been someone who has a char on mid who started with nothing and has never had anything from anyone else and didnt have a second account, I'd definitely say start with a caster - because all you'll need is a decent staff. A pet class would be safer, I guess, but I managed it with a runie. That of course has its disadvantages when you end up doing quests in areas with not much range for spells..so maybe I should have started off with a pet class!

I've played a healer for a spiritmaster with focus shield at low levels and I must say it bloomin well rocked. It didnt seem at all gimped! He had a crowd of reds and maybe the odd purple around his pet and we did just fine, it was really quick and not much downtime for power regen. Okay I didnt have all the lovely buffs a shaman would have had but we did good.
