Mouse speed hack.

Ages and ages ago someone hereabouts, or even on BW, mentioned a hack to change the dpi of normal optical mice. I have just got a nice new laptop and am playing a bit of CS on it but it is horrible to control especially after my G7 on my desktop.

Can I speed up the response from my Intellimouse optical?

I think it was to turn off mouse acceleration me old china. It was me who asked for it and Xavier who answered(I think). I am after it again if anyone has it.

Unless that isn't what you meant and I am miles off the mark.

No, that's exactly what I meant Tremsy, I had a feeling it was something to do with you, but couldn't be sure.

Seems like no one else remembers it anyway

I'll probably end up buying a notebook mouse anyway and when I do I'll get one with better resolution.

You could diddle the USB polling frequency to increase responsiveness
